Question
My first good sale.
My very first amazing ebay sale came from this same series of books.
Lord knows why anyone would pay big bucks for this series.
I've read a few of them, and didn't find them impressive at all.
Oh well my ebay fees are now paid, so everything else is now bonus. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

isn't it just amazing how that happens?
when you list stuff for sale
you sell stuff...just amazing isn't it???<sarcasm mode off>
now the bad news....your auciotn link in your sig line isn't working for me, is it an ebay thang or does it need to be reworked after their last "screwwiththesite" job. Did you freshen it up, they changged something.
congrats on that great sale, and a paperback no less<shaking head>
I hate paperbacks. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

SOME paperbacks can bring decent money - I've sold some for more than $20, but as a general rule I dont touch them unless they are before 1970, are in very good condition, and have good author's or cover art. Some collect MMPB's for the cover art alone and are not concerend abour edition, while others want first printings of the run, as if if matters a whit.
That said, I have some sets of MMPb's listed this week. If they dont sell its off to the trash for them....

Answer
Yep, paperbacks can do very well. I've had paperbacks that sold VERY well in lots. Last year, I bought and then sold a collection of over 300 true crime books. The hardbacks I had were immaculate and were very difficult to get rid of whether offered alone or in lots. The paperbacks sold like hot cakes in lots.

doufus: Off topic but wanted to add that when I click on your ebay link at the bottom of your posting it comes up as "input error"http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif
That was how I found the items I bid on Sunday so something must have changed since then in the ever-changing world of Ebay.
Answer
I checked my listings and the link I include at the bottom of my page doesn't work eitherhttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif Ebay must be messing with the codes again!
I had to change my templates (for the third time)! Now all my relists will have the dead link on themhttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif
Since I have hundreds listed at a time I like to offer a quick way for potential bidders to see everything on one page rather than 25 at a time through "see sellers other items" and Ebay seems to continuously try to divert that.
Answer
Ebay's done something, my favourites link, and the link in my auction template are all coming up input error as well. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...s/icon_mad.gif

Whoa, cool. I liked those books. I have them all. I wonder if I can find them.

Westlake is a great writer. Stories are a quick read and very entertaining. His Stark stuff is a little grittier but still a lot of fun. The earlier books in the Parker series go for decent bucks if in condition.
You should have include the Stark name in the listing if there was room. I'm tempted to put a bid in myself. Haven't read that one. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif
