Winning bidder griping about disclosed shipping

Question
Here's the email I received from my buyer (a follow up to a demanding "immediate ship" email he sent the day after winning the auction, ... at which time I replied that my shipping terms were such because I worked at a job that precluded shipping during the week.)
Essentially, I am upset that I paid you $18 for shipping (higher than it should be!) and you still haven't shipped it yet. It isn't my issue that you have to work, I've sold on Ebay for years and worked full time as well, never telling people it would take a week to ship their item and over
charging them. Come on, for what I paid you you could have UPS pick up the item and pack it. All you'd have to do is make a phone call, which isn't hard even with a job.
Anyway, ship it soon, I'm not happy My shipping terms (Saturday after payment received) and price (very average for the item sold) are clearly stated in the auction. Ideally I would like to not complete the transaction. (I'm feeling pissy, obviously). Can I simply refund the paypal payment, and file for final value credit based on "High bidder/buyer claimed the terms were unacceptable" and send the buyer a note (via ebay message system) that copies his email, and the reason for the action?
Any better way of dealing with it?
And, just by way of further explanation, I leave for work at 6:30am, and am very rarely home before 6:pm, and am not inclined to carry an oversized item on the public transit service that I use ....

Answer
fifteen emails came to mind and none of them would make Nutra proud....reminds me, I wonder how she is doing....anyway....ignore him, drink some eggnog and take the neg proudly, I have a few answers to the feedback for you.

Answer
How much is actual shipping?

Answer
(gabs - thanks for the reply ...)
Commentary - actual shipping is around $13 to his location, my auction is flat rate shipping. Handling is appropriate in this instance, as it took a bit of effort to pack, and more than a few squares of bubble wrap. For purposes of comparison it is an Ionic Breeze type air purifier, so stands about four feet tall.
(My flat rate charge would not cover delivery from my west coast location to an east coast location ......)

Answer
Well, as an ex-UPS driver his claim that they would come to your house and pack the item for you is completely ridiculous.
Oh, we would get people who were under this impression and they would act shocked when you showed up for the pick-up and told them they would have to box up that fragile glass vase on their own because you don't keep those types of supplies on the truck.
"But we don't have a spare box or any packing tape" they would say.
We would have to politely tell them we would be back the next day to pick up when the item was properly packaged.

Answer
There is no personal explanation needed as far as your work schedule. Your terms were plainly spelled out in the auction. A professionally worded email is in order, leaving out the personal stuff.

Answer
If the buyer should dispute the reason for the FVF refund request, you will not get your final fees back.
I would simply respond to the buyer this way:
My shipping terms (Saturday after payment received) and shipping price are both clearly stated in the auction.
Item will be shipped tomorrow (Saturday). In other words, be factual and do not allow yourself to be placed on the defensive by trying to justify why your shipping terms are what they are. It was the buyer's responsibility to read the auction description before bidding.
I also suggest not leaving any feedback at this point.

Answer
Perfect response. I'd also tell them that UPS was completely shocked when you called them to come and PACK the item and ship it
I'd also say no feedback. This is the type of transaction I either leave no feedback for, or if it gets worse wait to leave feedback until they can't leave retaliatory feedback.
