Options to SpareDollar

Question
As a small-time hobby seller, I have to look for other options. Can somebody tell me what those might be? I list maybe 20 items a month, with multiple pictures.

Answer
Lots of SD folks have gone to Auctiva.
The price is right - it's free.
Suthrnjewl has been using it for three months now and loves it!

Answer
inkfrog is idiot proof
I put all my newbie students onto that when they start
I personally haven't used it for a year, but they are still happy with it for a small amount of items.
they just didn't fit into my system easily.

Trak Auctions is free and easy to use. I fooled around with it for a while this past year, and it seemed to work just fine. Up to 20mb of pictures are free and then you pay if you want more. I did not use it long enough to make a recomendation on reliability but it did work well for the short time I was testing it out.
Not dynamic enough to make me leave InkFrog though

Answer
Awfully hard to beat Inkfrog and they have different programs depending on what your particular needs may be. Fabulous customer service and downtime is nonexistent!

Answer
What happened to Sparedollar? I can't get into the forums unless I spend 4.95 and I don't want to unless I know its still working. When I quit selling, that was the last thing I gave up, just in case. I'm thinking about starting up again and have no clue what's out there anymore. Did Tomas finally give up the ship?

Answer
Tomas just announced an 80% rate hike effective on 11/1.
The updated version promised since 2/2005 is still not out. The extra $$ is to hire a programmer.
Another new option out there auctionzealot.com
Free right now because it's in beta. It'll be $4.95 a month when they start charging.
Way cool feature in that you can click to enlarge on the same page and have text below each picture when it's enlarged!

Answer
I've been looking at Auctiva and they have a pretty nice setup. The one thing I wanted was in my images a search box and the url by the image so I could just copy it. Fast loading too. I think I might try it out. At free you can't beat that.

Answer
Blondie, you might want to check the Auctiva thread that was started a few days ago...

Ok, I know I'm unpopular with my opinion of SD, but I honestly have no problem with it, as is! I've been there a very long time, through many ups & downs, and only a couple times I ever had a problem! I almost dread the rollout of the 'new' SD, whenever it does happen, cuz there will be glitches... it's the nature of it! SD will cost me about 30¢ a day now, with the increase. I so wish my ebay bill and Paypal cost me the same...
One thought I've had is perhaps Tomas HAS been listening to the gripes about customer service, and this is one way he can help improve it, along with all the other stuff. Dunno when/why Bill left, but I'm sure that made it harder on Tomas. I just think Tomas is a good guy, doing the best he can. I guess I see him as a person, not just a business. I know, business is business, and shouldn't mix with anything 'personal', but that was not the way SD was 'back in The Day', and things ran very smoothly then.
Anyway, I'm staying at SD, at least for now. Will see how it goes in the long run. I look at other places, and can't figure them out! I looked before I found SD, and then when I found it, I had an auction up in minutes... so I quit looking! I will look around again, though, with an eye out to the future. Ya just never know what will happen!
Free right now because it's in beta. It'll be $4.95 a month when they start charging. Exactly as SD was, what? 4, 5? years ago???
