It's been enough of a slowdown that I can no longer use eBay's Enhanced Picture Services (thanks to MentalSoft's XP OS and IE6 and God knows what else), but now I'm getting this message after I wait half an eternity to load a picture!
I had Norton scan the file--no problem detected. It's a plain old .jpg file like all my other pix. Ebay, of course, provided no possible explanations. Any idea what could be going on? I'm clueless!

Why not reload the one from your harddrive and see if the problem still exists.

Run your antivirus and anti spyware. Something could be trying to atach itself to the file. More likly ebay glitch.

It was an Ebay glitch last weekend..I just kept cramming the same photo to them until they took it..I had never used Ebay's lister before until I started up my store again and the lister if full of glitches and was slower than molasses yesterday.
I use Inkfrog for my normal listing but I don't like to keep track of 1,000s of photos so I let Ebay host them..I can get by with just one photo in my store auctions.
