Question
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this.
I received an email from Paypal
(its got to be a spam)
For just a second, my heart skipped a beat.
I enclosed a copy.
I did log into my account (not through the email)
and my account looks the same.
No purchases. In fact there is not enough money
in there to buy anything costly.
What should I do about this? Send it to Paypal?
Answer
Forward it to: spoof*paypal.com
Then delete and forget about it.
Answer
Wow. I bet the catch a lot of phish with that one.

I've been getting a lot of similar ones lately but none as good as that one. As usual it's the link that gives it away.
Thanks for the headsup though.
Answer
Thanks - I just got the "receipt for payment to luxurywatches" spoof too. At least my heart didn't drop, since I recognized it.
Answer
It's a VERY WELL DONE scam email. Paypal will NEVER put a link in ANY email encouraging you to cancel ANYTHING that makes them money
I just delete them anymore-there are so many that it makes no sense to keep sending them since they can't stop them.

Exactly.
I had similar heart palpitations the first time I got one like that, though.

I got 2 that were downright funny after I had just made a purchase online(reputable site, secure and all lol)-my heart did a little jitterbug at first when I read the email subject, but then I realized "hey, I didn't pay with paypal"
