Answer
It's probably not a legitimate email. Ebay wouldn't ask you to click on a link in an email. I hope you didn't click the link or fill out the info they wanted.

Answer
It's a scam, I got one (or more) and sent it to spoof*ebay.com they responded that it was not an eBay email.

Answer
The sad thing is that although a lot of sellers are savvy enough to avoid falling for these, a customer of mine, with a high feedback but who only buys and doesn't sell, fell for a Paypal scam email last week.
She was completely cleaned out. They had to go through the most amazing amount of hassle to get the whole deal cleared up. Buyers who don't hang out on boards have no idea about this kind of stuff, even power shoppers who only use eBay as another shopping venue, don't know the risks.
I wish eBay would do something to promote awareness of those scumbags... more so than they do now. I get at least 1 of these each day, for either one of our selling IDs'

Thanks all, I didn't click it, I did forward it to ebay though and noticed on the ebay auction discussions board above that others are getting similar emails.
One customer of ours did click it though and did get scammed so, beware..
I did change my password on ebay though..here ebay auction discussions..

Answer
we should design a newsletter with alerts and smaple emails in it and all herens send it to all our customers, yes it would be spam but it would be good spam. I f we could save one person form clicking on these things it would be all worth it.
