How Many Item Not Received Complaints Does eBay Allow In One Month?
I'm just asking because one of eBay's largest sellers has received over 1000 negative feedback comments containing the words 'item not received' THIS MONTH alone and eBay has yet to take action.
FYI the seller in question now has over 11,000 negatives (and an overall feedback rating of 138,000 , 93.1%) so the problem of the rules not being evenly enforced for this seller and customers getting burned while eBay sat by and watched has been going on for a few years...perhaps this was allowed to happen because until very recently the seller used to have 150,0000-250,000 items listed and eBay was receiving a large amount in listing fees every month.
FYI-This seller's eBay store in question is still open and they are still a registered eBay user
Just to follow up, many of the comments left for this seller by buyers contain phrases like "ebay was no help", "I won't buy on eBay any more because of this", so eBay's failure to act on this matter has hurt ALL eBay sellers. .

They now have nothing running and have received mostly negatives and neutrals for the past few weeks!!! Looks like they're leaving eBay much like THEBARRY did, ripping everyone off and running with the money.
Not sure why you didn't post who they are (totalcampus.com).....sorry but I feel that anyone doing this kind of thing doesn't deserve the privacy but needs to be out where people know what they are doing!

My husband recently started buying some on ebay and I told him that, as strange as it sounds, I'm leery of sellers whose feedback is under 99%. I know 98% happy customers in a non ebay business would be fantastic but I kept track of who I was and wasn't happy with in one very busy ebay buying period and realized that two things were harbingers of trouble: feedback under 99% and sellers who didn't leave positive feedback when I paid immediately. I don't buy big dollar items on ebay so I'd still take a chance on something with such sellers but wouldn't risk a whole lot of dollars. Maryanne

We could expatiate on this problem for days, and still receive no satisfaction from eBay. There are so many more out there, we just don't see or hear about them. And you "know" that they won't do anything about it. They seem to have no problem dumping the smaller ones when this happens, but not this time!

Very true. There is actually one seller (still selling on eBay) who has over 15,000 negatives and an FB percentage of 88.3%.

Maybe something happened to the seller. We've seen that happen. When one of our own here at here passed away, he received a lot of negs on his acct. His wife had no idea how to go about fixing the problem.
