Hi everyone,
I am new here and also pretty new to ebay. I am so glad I found this site, it looks like there will be a lot of useful info here. I would like your opinion on my store as far as starting prices, shipping and anything else. Please don't hold back tell me exactly what you think. I just got my store going about a week ago. I like clothing stores organized by size. I like your layout, with the concise explanation up top and the payment and shipping info on the side. The logo is a little dreary. And $4.30 to ship a kid's shirt seems high to me since it's obviously not going to go priority mail.
I know everyone differs on insurance but except for high dollar value items insurance seems to benefit only the post office. We've been selling on ebay for about 5 years. My estimate is the post office loses or damages at most 1 package in 200 (and in reality I think it's less than that). That means if we did post office insurance every 200 of our customers would be paying $260 to the post office so one of them could try to navigate the system to get $20 back (our average sale). Makes no sense to me. I could never make a customer navigate the post office system to get $20 back even IF they paid for insurance. So we just refund and consider it a cost of doing business.

She made the one . . . for the store I still haven't opened *hanging head* and it's BEAUTIFUL! She was able to come up with exactly what I wanted . . . which was really wonderful because I didn't even *know* what I wanted! LOL!

Getting a store up and running takes a lot of time - so congratulations and many happy sales!
I love to critique, and agree that the logo might benefit from a professional touch - I recently used Tanya's logos and she does a great job as well as being a fellow heren. Very reasonable in cost, too.
My only other thought is that while the pictures are ok, they don't show a lot of detail. When I buy clothes I generally like to see some detail. Even seeing the tags can help me decide. I am not sure whether taking the pic of the top and bottom individually is the answer, or making the image larger, or using a camera with sharper optics, but even when seen full screen, I was not able to see the detail I like.
Your layout is nice, the copy very readable, and the prices seem reasonable. I like that you take Paypal without exceptions.
This is a slow couple of weeks, but come mid September, I hope you find yourself as busy shipping as buying!
