has anyone sold to Saipan Mp? Micronesia?

Question
someones address I sold to tonight is Saipan Mp. I didn't recognise that and put it into my dazzle (endicia) software and it didn't show it as being an international address and charged the usps shipping rate for 1 oz (the shipping weight I put in).
looking it up on the internet, it says:
A former trust territory of the U.S., Saipan enjoys U.S. Commonwealth status and its people are U.S. citizens. so does this mean its regular usps shipping price, not international? That is what endicia is indicating but I want to be sure it is right before I invoice this customer !
this is a first for me thank in advance.

Answer
Saipan is considered a US address for shipping--the same as Puerto Rico
Saipan Mp. I didn't recognise that The only time Saipan was ever in the news was about 6 years ago when Wal-Mart and the Gap were sued by a group claiming that many of Wal-Mart's/the Gap's "made in the U.S.A." products were actually being made in sweatshops in Saipan (which technically is 'made in the U.S.A.).

Answer
Last time I shipped to Federated States of Micronesia (FM) the postal clerk wanted me to put a customs label on it - even though it's considered domestic shipping.

Answer
Jen, I think you have to do that for Puerto Rico and APO addresses too.

Answer
thanks everyone. I guess I should have trusted dazzle I have sold to puerto rico before but never heard of this place (shows how much I paid attention in history class).
this is just a 4.99 postcard shipping at 1 oz. so I usually don't put a customs form on those since the postage internationally runs close to the price of the card.
thanks again.

Answer
Nope, you don't have to do that for Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the US, and its inhabitants are born US citizens, even thought their birth certificates are in Spanish.
I send stuff all the time down to PR, since it's where I was born, and never had to put a customs form on it.
As for APO addresses - if the APO is physically located in a foreign land, then you have to put a customs form on it. If the APO is stateside, then you don't have to. There are APOs here in the states.
