Question
ok, I finally found my boxes of vintage christmas stuff...
list them now or wait, if I get them on in the next week, with 5 day listings, they should have them by christmas
Isn't the category going to be flooded, of course there will be more buyers looking too, right??
whatcha think?

I had my christmas CD auctions this week, the first batch ended last night and tonight. I am pretty happy with the way they turned out.
Answer
Gabs, I think there are a lot of people who don't think (nor do they WANT to think) about Christmas until the day after Turkey Day.
I have some Christmas stuff I started listing last night, & will list a bit each night for about the next 10 days. And, I am being a real hard nose on the terms: Pay within 7 days USING PAYPAL. Period, end of discussion. Virtually every NPD I've had in the last 6 months has been an "I'll send a check" buyer. These are Christmas things and won't be worth squat in January, so I want them bought, paid for and outta here fast. I don't want to wait for their long lost relative to die so they can have an excuse to never getting around to paying me.
Probably more info than you wanted, huh? http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif
5 day auctions probably are a darned good idea.......

or their husband left them and now they are destitute, I lost two good bidders that way....
Almost makes me want to hunt their spouses down and shoot them myself http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

Have you ever wanted to put this in your auctions:

quote:
If you have a relative teetering on the verge of death, do NOT bid on my auctions, for it will be certain that they will pass on immediately after the auction ends with you as high bidder. I also advise you NOT to drive if you win one of my auctions because I can guarantee you will have a car accident and be unable to send me a check. And, you should note that your computer is in grave danger of crashing if you win one of my auctions. Since most people don't know anyone else in the world who has a computer, you will be unable to get my address to send me a check. I am just looking out for your well-being, so DON'T BID!!!
