Question
Hiya folks,
I have a question that I am trying to find an answer to on Ebay, but to no avail so far. I have a lot of jewelry that we set a reserve price of $295 for. There were up to 13 watchers but didn't get any bids until late in the auction. It ended at $255...I am now getting emails from bidders that want to know what the reserve was and can they buy it for the reserve?
How the heck do I do this without going afoul of Ebay rules?
Thanks,
Mary
Answer
re-relist with no reserve and a BIN first come first serve .
you can also look at the second chance offer Im not that familiar with it but I think it might apply
Answer
I'd list it as a buy-it-now at 295 plus more to compensate the fees. I think you can arrange everything through email, as I imagine all eBay wants is for you to sell it on there so they make their money on fees. I hope someone else can help you, but listing as a buy-it-now should be fine.
Answer
I was considering doing a relist, but I was hoping to avoid the fees. Maybe I can do a second chance offer and have the buyer pay the extra $40. Ugh.
I would think Ebay would want that extra FVF. I noticed they are going to allow sellers to lower their reserve prices while there are bids on the item...found that interesting.

Answer
can't you relist with no fees if it sells second time around ?
so if you did a BIN of 255 and the high bidder took it the fees would be basicly the same as if it sold first time .
Answer
THEY contacted YOU. Sell it to them however you want.
Answer
Ditto.
