Question
Seems like a good thing to me, but I don't see much discussion about it. Also couldn't find any links to threads about the eBay Affiliate Program here on here.
Is anyone here signed up with them or doing affiliate marketing from their website? I'd be interested in learning more about it, pros, cons, tips, tricks, etc.
Answer
Here are the program details:

This was brought up a brief couple of times here that I recall but darned if I can find the threads now! Anyway I USED to be an eBay affiliate and I made something like $10 total - I think mine were from people who opened stores using my link.
I gave up on all that affiliate stuff since I didnt have the time to devote to working it like you should, but I am sure there are those who do really well with those programs. I'm just not one of em

You have to have a certain amount of hits and so on don't you Gem?
I mean you can't live off the affiliate program?
Answer
I use Amazon affiliate program. It does ok pays for most of my hosting bills. I also use Google's Adsense (pay per click) which works real well. Yahoo has a new pay per click program but will not be available to general public till late in the year. It will be filled with all the sites that have been banned by Google. For any of these programs to work you need visitors and the more the merrier.

I used it for a while, did ok, not great, maybe just enough to pay webhosting fees. I'd still use it but the site is no more.
I brought it up here once. The general response was very ho-hum. People here seemed to think I was advocating becoming one of those google pirates. You know, the ones that show up for what ever search you are doing and take you to ebay.
That wasn't it at all.
I don't know why folks were distrustfull or uniterested. It was/is a pretty interesting tool.
