Question
Anyone using this software? If so can you use it to upload to Amazon or Halfcom? Or, for that matter any use besides cataloging?
Readerware.com
This link will help with import/export info. Sorry,

Answer
Most people use it with Homebase, a program you get for free from Abe.com Readerware will export your records to Homebase, homebse uploads to Abe and Amazon.
I downloaded the trial, used it, liked it, plan to buy it, as soon as I have time to devote to it.
Answer
Half has weird requirements that virtually need an Excel spreadsheed, but is perhaps doable in a standard database.
Every other booksite that I am aware of takes Homebase files. The defacto gold standard.
Some folks use Readerware. I believe it has ISBN lookup. Which I find nearly worthless as you still need to look the books up anyway to get a handle on the price for them. As well as the description....

Answer
I use readerware and like it.
It does allow you to enter the ISBN for the book and it will look the book details up on the internet.
It can export UIEE format that amazon will accept.
You can also export into a comma separated value or excel format
for conversion to amazon tab delimited format.
It will look up the lowest new or used price at a variety of sites you can select including HDC and amazon
It does not take condition into account when recording the lowest price.
It will allow you to set your price in the database at a percentage of the price it finds online.
With a cuecat, it is a very efficient database tool for books with barcodes.
I usually just price my book at the lowest price, as long as the price is acceptable to me or unless the book is special in some way.
This is very time efficient and hasn't lost me much money because only in a couple of sales out of hundreds has the lowest price for condition been much higher than the lowest price overall.
I entered around 800 books (most with barcodes) in around 2 days and uploaded them to amazon without any effort.
The customer service was efficient and personal. I got a relevant response from an actual person in around 4 hours.
It's well worth the price if you will use it.
If you are using it and don't intend to upload to ABE, homebase is unnecessary.
