What should I do?

Question
I just received a spoof e-mail (ask seller a question) about some stuff I do not sell. I never open these or click on links. Anyone want to ask something I retrieve the question from e-bay's My Messages.

Anyway these people are from Germany. I was able to track them including their name and phone number but the buyer ID they used is from a legitimate US buyer with almost 900 feddbacks. Should I notify this guy or just ignore and delete the e-mail.

Thanks for any advice.

Martina

I haven't sold on this ID for going on 3 years. Came from eBay UK which I have never sold on.

I was going to report but not really sure where to send it to.

Answer
Forward them to

include the headers.

Answer
How do you insert an e-mail address here without it all showing funny.

I clicked on the insert e-mail link and it still came out all looking funny.

Answer
The * sign is stripped out of posts to prevent email harvesters from grabbing the emails. What email address are you wanting to post here?

As far as phishing emails, I delete them without taking any action. I never know what they say because I don't read them.

Answer
I wanted to post e-bays e-mail address for forwarding spoofs.
It is important to forward these e-mails.

Answer
spoof at ebay dot com.

Answer
And for those receiving phishing emails for PayPal, same advice.
Forward the email and copy and paste the email header into the forward to the eBay address above, or for PayPal:
spoof at paypal dot com
