Elementary questions about ebay search function

Question
I just listed an auction for a book on WW I airplanes. The more I think about it, the more I think I should rework the title of the auction, but I'm not sure whether search will pick up the changes. Can someone answer some basic questions?
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>
~ The search function indexes words in the title, but not in the "add to title" feature just instituted...yes or no?
~ I started the auction Wed. afternoon (today). If I change the title, will the changes be picked up in the next indexing or is that a one shot deal when launched? Should I just end the auction and relist if I make sweeping changes?
~ Same question applies if I decide to add a second catagory...should I cancel & relist?
[/list]
All these years I've been on ebay and I never did understand just how the system works. &lt;sigh&gt;

Answer
Not sure if I can answer all your questions.
If you change the title, it will pick up the change on the next indexing. However, I think eBay speed up the indexing. So the next indexing may be faster than before.
If you add a second category, it should show up when they do the next indexing.
I do not believe the new feature "subtitle" is part of the index. So no regular search available on that subtitle.

Answer
Hi Bob. I believe the Subtitle words are searchable via the DESCRIPTION search but NOT the Title search. The following is from eBay's original Subtitle announcement:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>The information included in a Subtitle will not be searchable through Title Search, but will be included in Description Search. It will be shown in all lists, including Search results, Browse by category, Seller's Other Items, and eBay Stores. Subtitle upgrades will be available at the introductory price of $0.50 per listing.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Answer
While the 'subtitle' feature looks to be a waste for the most part (should be included in a title search, IMO), I decided to try it in this auction. This was a tough book to describe in 45 characters, so I decided to try and cram as many aircraft names into the title as possible hoping for hits...and bids. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Oh, and I did a search after I revised it and it showed up ~ some five minutes after I hit the submit button!
