Question
Since gabsy has whipped me into working again http://community.here.com/infopop/em...s/icon_eek.gif I got to wondering how I need to work my schedule for launches this week....the week after *IS* turkey day ya know!
Thinking about normal bunch on Monday & Tuesday for 7 days and then drop the regular Wed & Thurs stuff on FRIDAY for 10 days so you can hit both the people that bother to look during the holiday weekend AND still not have to cope with the Sunday night overload problem.
Of course I am assuming that ANYTHING "makes sense" when it comes to eBay! http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_rolleyes.gif

Answer
Hi Ken,
I never worry too much about holidays and when to end auctions. Lately because of the store I guess, I been putting up auctions at different times of day, and different days for me.
Actually I think I would make sure I had some running on the TURKEY day. You just never know when people are going to look at your auctions.

Oh I intend to have stuff running ON turkey day....just wondering about making sure I avoid ENDING on Wednesday and Thursday night. (i normally end stuff Mon-Thurs nights)
Maybe I should just LIST STUFF and quit "thinking" http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

So MANY comebacks, so little space http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif
I don't worry a lot about holidays either, but I end mine on Monday's most of the time anyway.

I say forget about listing anything and just worry about what to stuff the bird with as well as the trimmings.

I normally end Sun-Thurs nights so I can relate. I have opted to have stuff running but I don't have anything ending on Wednesday or Thursday nights. I do have some auctions ending on Friday and Saturday nights because I figure there will be someone who "discovers" eBay on Thursday and might want some "instant gratification" over the weekend. Of course, you have to like newbies to play this game. http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif

And you have to remember that there are poeple like me who don't have Thanksgiving on Thursday.
Since my brother and I are both work where we do, Thanksgiving is just a Thursday to us and so our families celebrate around us on our days off. We are having Thanksgiving on Saturday this year.
So Thursday after I get up, I'll be shopping eBay. And Friday too--cause I AM NOT going to be in the stores!!

I have consistently had good luck ending stuff on holidays. So I plan to just list as usual and they will end when they end. But this does remind me that I need to check with the other seller I work with and see what she wants to do about things ending thanksgiving.

Boy ... I'm struggling with when to end auctions for Thanksgiving. I've got some stuff that would make good gifts, as well as stuff that mostly guys are going to be interested in. Right now I'm thinking Wed & Thur are not good times to end auctions because of the T-Day activities. I think Friday might be good, but everyone is "supposed" to be at the Malls shopping, so maybe Friday night would be good for gift type auctions. Saturday night may be good for gift type auctions for the same reason as Friday. I don't think I'll list any guy type stuff at all on Saturday because that's a MAJOR football day and a lot of guys will be glued to the TV, not the computer. (I know I will be) As far as Sunday ... If I end any I think it will be Sunday afternoon because I think Ebay may be very unstable Sunday night due to the volume.
What do you guys think?
