Question
I currently have a domain name that was attached to my website; however, since finding out I'm pregnant, I've opted for an eBay store where I can list only what is available for immediate shipment. I shut down my website after doing this. However, I would like my domain name to direct straight to my eBay store. I have found how to register a new name but no information on how to transfer a domain name. Do any of you know how?
Thanks so much!

With whom is your domain name registered? If it's with GoDaddy, they provide domain name forwarding at no extra cost:

Hi Irene: Nope, it's with Hypermart. But that brought to mind the idea to see if I can find anyone who does doman name forwarding!
Thanks!
Answer
I have my URL, www.AuldIreland.com, with GoDaddy.
Eight dollars a year to register, free parking and they will point it to my eBay Store.
The service you are using may have benefits but, if not, I think GoDaddy will accept a transfer, credit you for unused time from your previous service provider and then park and point.
I now have mine at another service host because I'm going to make use of the ME pages and some off eBay web pages to expand some data content I want to add and my host also is my designer/guide.
Even if you do nothing more than park and point I think it is worth $8.00 a year to have a real URL that you own, it is much easier to use in promotions and it earns some Store referral credits on directed sales.
GoDaddy also offers a bunch of other services which I don't know how to use but I hear they are effective.
