With Irun's Website Builder Tools
IRUN CORP. ( www.irun.com) announced that its website builder now includes eBay auction integration as part of its service, allowing businesses a single point for managing their eCommerce website and eBay auction for ultimate convenience.
From this single point, irun's user-friendly website management tool allows for streamlined product entry onto the customer's website and eBay's auction at the same time and in real-time, plus enables the irun customer to:
- receive automated instant winning bidder notification
- allow checkout through the branded (irun) website
- enable various payment options (credit card, PayPal, money order,
check, account)
- set auction duration, reserve price and "Buy it Now" price
irun's eBay auction integration with our website building tools empowers small businesses and online retailers to explode their Internet sales like never before, for a cost equivalent to a cup of coffee per day," says Paul Carrington, President CEO of irun. "Because eBay is one of the Internet's most highly trafficked websites it just makes sense that retailers display their products there. With a single management tool built for non-technical people, irun's eBay auction integration allows for a two-prong online sales approach in that retailers can sell through their own world-class irun website and also liquidate current, seasonal or dated products through eBay. It's one point of management, which ultimately improves efficiency, encourages ease-of-use, and therefore saves a ton of time for the already-busy small business person. In many ways this is a dream come true for small businesses and current eBay customers, who we anticipate will find this offering very interesting."
As an added value feature, this service comes at no additional charge to the irun customer, who simply pays $39.95 per month for their professional website, hosting, email/webmail, secure shopping cart, web marketing, eCommerce and web management tools.
Stefan Mazareanu, a current irun customer and owner of the online movie store WittyMovies.com ( www.wittymovies.com) which sells to a US-based audience, has recently implemented irun's eBay integration on his website and has made the following observations: "In the first two days of listing some of my videos and DVDs on eBay I made eleven sales to people I would never have otherwise met in addition to regular sales through my website. Through irun I can keep in touch with them and upsell them new products through my newsletter and grow my business affordably. I would recommend this system to anyone! I'm convinced that eBay works and this integration tool makes it easy for me to manage and control my inventory like never before."
In addition to this new service, irun has also opened up its back-end management tools to website visitors in the form of a free, no obligation 10-day trial so that potential customers can get comfortable using the tools offered by irun.
irun has also scheduled new features to be released in its website builder tool over the next 3 months that are guaranteed to improve irun customers' online sales and market share.

Answer
I called iRun and spoke to their tech support. FYI, this is just a "web store" with eBay posting capabilities. The inventory integration is not there. If you launch your web store item to eBay, there is no way to deduct that item from your inventory.
This is another service you might want to look into is:
Sales Channel Manager
http://www.saboti.com
It handles all your inventory in one place. It will also deduct inventory from your database if item on eBay is sold. If it doesn't sell, it goes back into your inventory as available.

If you look at one seller ID: ethaimarket with their web site being (what else?) eThaiMarket, you will see that this guy wrote a Visual Basic program that integrates his auction listings on his web site.
The beauty is that he has one listing on his web site that is the identical item for auction on eBay. If the item is not listed on eBay, you have buy it direct from him. The only thing I can't see is why is he steering web buyers to purchase on eBay instead of his site?
The upside is the same item appears on both venues, so if it's sold on eBay it comes off his inventory on his web site.
Answer
Superman-
He may have "scripted" into his site an Ebay affiliate program so that a visitor to his website, who decides to bid on/BIN an item at Ebay, he gets the "credit".
Personally, I'd rather "advertise" (for free!) at eBay and make all my sales via my website.
