Question
I have an id that I sometimes use for buying. Well I suddenly got a message when trying to bid that I had exceeded my buying limits and that I could lift it by opening a paypal account. I had to add my buyer id to my paypal account in order to bid on stuff and it took a while before their system recognized it. While I was waiting, I figured okay, I'll just create a new buyer account and start over. So I tried creating a new account with an msn email address and the ebay system came to this screen requiring me to submit credit card information to verify my identity. When did they make all of these changes?? I used to be able to create an account without submitting credit card info as long as I didn't use a free email account. As far as the paypal thing goes, seems obvious to me that they're just trying to push paypal on more people.

there's free email address that will work, you just have to where to look.

As far as I know, it hasn't changed if you have an AOL account.
