Using ebaY shipping calculator for UPS retail?

Question
I would like to use the ebaY shipping calculator in more auctions but have a concern about the quoted UPS rates. I use the UPS retail store that charges more the direct UPS centers. Anyone else have this predicament?
Also is there a way to allow a choice with the ebaY shipping calculator or can the buyer have only one say USPS Priority and not both USPS Priority and UPS ground for example.

Answer
The UPS calculator eBay uses is a total joke. We have daily pickup, and it doesn't give us accurate quotes either.

Answer
We use the shipping calculator and we found that if we simply added $2.00 handling fee, it came our really close to actual shipping cost. Plus it has doubled our sales in just the week that we have been using it. I love the calculator.

Answer
I guess I'll place that on my "to do" list. I'll experiment with a few weight/destinations and check against the shipping site itself.
Oh well, I thought I remembered reading about some affiliation or promotion hookup between ebaY and the UPS Retail stores.

Answer
Here's a good UPS calculator that requests it directly from the UPS site:

Thanks for link, wished they had a selection for UPS retail center, the increase rate charged there averages 5% more than at actual UPS center. I have a retail location within 5 miles, the UPS center is 30 miles from me!

Answer
I did an allnighter designing a my own shipping chart based on weight. I found out UPS has a Rates and Service Guide (in PDF) format that lists the cost to ship an item by weight/zone broken down by services.

Answer
Why not use the USPS Shipping Assistant program? Download it your computer and fill in the blanks..

Answer
I do use SA program from USPS!
My question is in regard to auction listings. Mainly for heavy items that can vary greatly on shipping cost. So wanting to know about other shipping calculators to place within auctions. Bill (who at least use to post here) had an excellent program (but I believe it's gone) many of us used and some had the good sense to save script! http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

Answer
Wildcat, have you checked out any of the tool auctions that may also use the same script? Also, check on ebay site map HTML, for Bob or some of the other web gurus that may have a script already.. I'll ck too..
