Question
I am attempting to start on auction e-business with eBay and don't really know where to start. I have worked for someone for a few years that has a pretty successful eBay business, so I know the ropes, I'm just not quite sure what I want to sell. I'm looking to have no more that 50-100 auctions running at any given time (I just want some extra spending cash until I decide if I want to do this full-time). Anyways, what I'm looking for from anyone is a product line and somewhere to get set up with a supplier. I am offering a percentage if this all works out to whomever helps me out. Any help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded.

Check with the Chinese consulate. They should be able to put you in touch with their trade and commerce people who should hopefully be able to provide an entire listing of manufacturers and their wares.
And word is out that ALibaba is now selling small lots at wholesale pricing normally reserved for megacorporations.
HOWEVER....
Selling new items you will constantly be chasing your tail since any successful niche is likely to get clobbered by the terminally clueless who will often sell at such low margins that after a while they simply give up and dump their merch at a loss.
At that point the market is effectively destroyed for the item.
If you can find a profitable item to sell with a minimum of competitors it might be worth your while to forget ebay, and launch it from your own site, with plenty of google 'adwords'.
And strongly advise avoiding those 'how to succeed' selling books/seminars since a moments thought will prove that if they are so successful themselves they could not possibly have the time to enlighten fellow vendors.
