Remeber someone selling UPS lables on eBay

Question
I noticed that the labels on some UPS shipments to me have a little UPS logo and statement indicating labels should only be for UPS shipping. Wonder if this was in reaction to the guy that was selling the UPS labels on eBay. Wonder if that guy is still in business.

Answer
The people selling these labels are thriving on eBay! I was in need of labels for Stamps.com and DHL. I use half sheet labels (2 per page). They work really well because I can just peel the shipping part off and stick it to the box, while taking the other half (a receipt) and sticking it to the back of the invoice so I can file it. I did a search for "mailing labels" and came up with about 30 different auctions for these same labels. The pricing is phenomenal. I got 6000 labels (3000 sheets), shipped via UPS for $9.49 including the shipping! I don't know how they do this, nor really care. The labels are good quality labels and do have the UPS logo on the side (very small), but neither DHL or the USPS has had any problem so far. I think I am going to order another 10,000 or so just to have them on hand. I run 500-600 auctions per month with a sell-through of about 70%. These labels save me a lot of time and money.

Answer
I just ordered some half-sheet labels; last time I'd checked they were WAY more than I prefer to spend per package but the price has evidently dropped a bit since then. Glad I saw this post and was reminded that half-sheet labels are a good way to go.
I've never seen the UPS only ones. Generally I've found that UPS doesn't care if you use USPS only labels, I'd guess USPS might not care if you use UPS only labels either.

Answer
dukeru, would you mind sharing (via PM) the name of the seller that you're buying those from? I looked around, but didn't find anything quite that cheap.
Thanks!

Answer
Yaknow, if you guys are intent on using labels stolen from UPS you can simply open up your own free UPS account and request them yourself, delivered to your door for free. Or you can pay some guy $10 to steal them for you, whatever works for ya.

Answer
Try ordering them from a label manufacturer! The price is outrageous! Johnny, I agree, but ....hell they were cheap. Cheaper than bothering with UPS

Answer
How can spending money be "easier" than setting up a FREE account,
and getting FREE labels , shipped FREE by UPS???
And then you are getting them legitimate, and not STEALING THEM....
The person selling them on eBay is stealing them from UPS, and receiving stolen property makes you party to the theft.

Answer
The person on ebay is setting up an account under your name.. Been discussed months back....

I have an UPS acc't, and ship once every once in a while so I can, um, well, you know ... justify using the labels.

Answer
These must be the new improved Fed Ex labels...
