Question
Recently, I saw a blurb in the auctionbytes newsletter about a new company called Mpire. They purport to be a "one size fits all" solution for eBay consignment sellers. I filled out a brief survey, and they sent me a very cool baseball cap (which my wife ruined with splattered hair dye). They also sent me a letter telling me a rep would contact me by phone. I never got the call, but I did get an email from them letting be know I was selected to be a beta tester when they launch in June. I am currently using AuctionTeller.com for consignment management, but I am willing to look at any solution that makes tracking consignments easier.
Is there anyone out there that has more specific information about what Mpire actually has to offer? I would love to know how they are going to beat the rest of that market. Replies are more than welcome.
Answer
Mpire is a new company in Seattle. I've worked with them as part of their customer council (along with other eBay sellers) to help develop their new tool/solution for eBayers.
I know the product will have listing, auction management, consignment and finance components. I haven't been able to use the product yet, but I will say they have been great to work with - They have been very receptive to input from eBay sellers. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product when it is available in June.

Hi,
My name is Raleigh, and I happen to be customer support for that very company. The Url is www.mpire.com and we will soon be offering 30 day free trials. We are currently beta testing to get all the features integrated and secure. All the features are currently on that site.
Thanks,

Hi Raleigh, maybe you'd like to parter with here.
Or just, register as an Affiliate. Below was sniped from Jim's previous post.
Here's the details:
Representatives must register with an email address from their domain. (i.e. not yahoo, hotmail, etc)
They need to fill in their Myhere profile with their official company name, title, and contact information. (Other then the company name and title, all this information is confidential).
Once this is complete, Jim (the site owner) will update their profile with their official title, which will appear under their username on their posts. This assures our members that they are who they say they are (a representative of a domain/company).
They may promote their company only in their signature file, and not directly in posts. They should also be cautious that their posts are not promotional in nature. However, they can of course answer questions about their company, etc.
Official announcements, press releases, etc., can be sent through our contact us links that appear on here.
Once registered correctly, maybe some of the users here on here are eBay Consignment Sellers who would be interested in your product.

Hi again,
I filled out the proper forms. I forgot not to promote business stuff! I guess I got a little excited at seeing my job being talked about. Looking forward to contributing though!
Answer
That's OK Raleigh.
here has what is called a Notice of Affliation Procedures. You can read by clicking my link, or by going to the Town Hall Forum and seeing the same subject as a sticky at the top.
here ask these procedures be followed by anyone posting as a company representative.
When you filled out the forms, did you use the "contact us" link to advertise on or partner with here?
Answer
We have used both auctionteller and empire, both of them offer BAD support and I would not recomend 1 more than the other.Empire seems to answer their e-mails quicker and do have a chat room but we kept getting the same person which makes me think that its a 1 man show.Empire also had a melt down a while back where they LOST everyones files, it appears that they have changed the CEO. Auctionteller doesn't answer e-mails in a timely fashion and there image server as we speak is DOWN so no images on all our auctions and you can't get an answer out of them when it will be back up.Has any one got any better suggestions than these 2. Thanks David.
Answer
Mpire vs Empire?
Are you sure you are talking about the same company?
Answer
Not sure but this is getting confusing!
