Why is ebay allowing a blocked bidder to bid on my stuff??

Question
This guy I had bought from that sells the same stuff I do had put me on blocked bidder about a couple years ago. Never told me he was going to do it, just found out via ebay when I tried to buy something from him. So I was like fine then, I'll block him too lol for the fun of it. So this has to be some ultimate ebay glitch. The dude is now bidding on my stuff. With his regular selling id. I'm not even sure he realizes it's me he's bidding on, because I've changed my name numerous times since then, trying to find the 'perfect' one that sounds nice and professional. So I'm like gee why would this guy even be buying. He just sold this item, and for less than what I'm charging. Ah, but he's sold more of them. He's oversold it I betcha and trying to save his butt and right now I'm the only one with this item. hehe His name is even gone from my blocked bidder list, and I know I didn't remove it. Situation is awkward at best. I doubt he's planning on fb bombing or anything like that, because he knows I could leave him bad fb too, and he's pretty nutsy about his feedback. Gosh, so long as I get paid, I don't care what a paying customer does to my fb lol. I definately wouldn't leave fb first for this one though lol.

Answer
The block bidder list has a history of losing names. You have to check it every so often and make sure they are all still there.

Answer
My entire blocked bidder list disappeared a while back. I think this has happened to many people.

Now I keep my list in a text file on my desktop in case eBay ever LOSES them again also, I can update them all at the same time with the same 'paste'.

I've seen on ebay message boards a few months back where several people had all of the people that bid on their stuff turn up on their blocked bidder list when they didn't add them there. I know that lists have also disappeared. But gosh.
This guy is really bidding it up there. He must be purty desparate. Oh the irony. I'm going to be nice and not cancel his bids. Besides, I'm kinda having fun watching this. I still did quite a double take though when I saw his user id on my stuff. I could have so much fun with him over this, but I'll resist the temptation and treat him like any other customer. I'm pretty sure that he oversold his items because he doesn't usually buy stuff like this and he just sold a bunch of same item for less than what he's bidding now lol.

Answer
Yep. Happened to me, too. If you want him blocked, he has to be on your blocked list--whether or not the list vanishes due to eBay's glitches. I have to repost my list once in a while.

I'm with Nan, I keep a copy and make sure it's all still there every so often. I have over 400 names.
There was a period where all powersmellers lost their lists, oh, meehbee 15-18 months ago.
By the by, a bidder can still purchase a store item even if on your blocked bidder list.
That's some loophole, huh?

That's some loophole, huh? Yeah, quite a loophole. I do know that there's no way to block them on half.com. I didn't know that about the store though.

Answer
Wow! I had no idea a blocked bidder could purchase from one's store. Sheesh. That's silly!

Response? We're sorry. The database of blocked bidders is only set up for auction style listings.

How about tackling that muy peccadillo grande, eBay?
{hee hee, a Spanish oxy-moron! Happy Saturday ya'lll!}
