Firefox vs IE regarding the USPS website

Question
Maybe I'm the only person this has ever happened to, but I hope not. I normally do all my online postage using Firefox (like I use it for 99% or more of my web travels). Prior to version 1.0.2, it worked fine. Now with the latest versions (up to 1.0.4) it crashes during the procedure. Firefox crashes (literally shuts down and sends and error report) right between processing my CC and actually printing the labels. Of course this means I have had to start over using IE, and pay a second time. USPS will refund fees after about two weeks, but it's just frustrating having to do this.
Has anyone else ever experienced a crash of this sort?

Answer
I've just upgraded to 1.04 and I'm having problems with it crashing, too, usually when it's opening a new window. In my case, it's something to do with the graphics. My video card freezes.

Answer
Yeah.....with pogo.

I've noticed that 1.0.4 is less stable than the other revisions too. It fixes 3 extremely critical security holes so it isn't like we can just skip it. I've even noticed there are times that the repaint of the browser window is slow, and doesn't completely redraw.
The USPS site for Click n Ship which prints postage has never worked properly for me in FireFox since 1.0.2. I have to use IE to print postage. I reported it on the Mozilla site many months ago. Some there said that it worked for them, however, I suspect it varies based upon system, perhaps OS.
I also had to remove the Flash Block extension as it was crashing too much on various sites, and I had to reinstall Flash. It crashed regardless of whether it was enabled or not.
I noticed that there are a few extensions not updated for 1.0.4, and I wonder if they are being affected by it.
A lot of us probably didn't follow the clean install instructions either, where they suggest installing fresh in empty folders. I know I didn't. I clicked the update arrow on the top right bar.

Answer
I use FF, and have not upgraded. I'm not certain what version I'm running (how do ya tell), but I usually don't apply updates unless/until I know the bugs and nuances are worked out.
Now I know why - ho-hummm!

Answer
You can tell Firefox version by clicking Help, About. Updates are via multiple means including click on up arrow under the minimize/maximize icons on upper right. Or update by Tools, Options, Advanced, Software Update, click Check Now.
The gotcha to not updating the versions is increased risk that one of the exploits out there will be used for identity theft on your PC, and to install malware. On IE as well as Firefox the security patches are needed, when working. It does look like 1.0.4 was hurried along too fast given these exploits aren't theory, but were seen in use.

Answer
Well - when I do help and about, it only tells me what version of Mozilla I'm using vs. specific info. to FF. So - that's why I'm stumped!
