Question
I know a couple of sellers in the past who had trouble selling products which the Red Cross deemed to be against their VERO stance.
In one case, it was an Italian charm which featured a nurse's hat. The Red Cross used VERO to cancel the auction, claiming the seller was marketing it as a Red Cross product (when it was not). The seller was actually NOT advertising the charm as a Red Cross product in any way, but the description read something like, "the nurse's hat is adorned with a cross which is red on it" or some such. The exact phrase "red cross" never even appeared in that exact form.
Anyway, what I'm driving at is this.
I found a pair of very cool American Red Cross First Aid Textbooks--one from the 40's and one from about 1951. They are fascinating and have beautiful photographs in them. I'm sure some collector will really dig them.
I want to list them on eBay but want to be sure they are "eBay legal." Since other sellers have had issues with the Red Cross VERO rep before, I wanted to see if any of you have attempted to sell true Red Cross materials before. And if so, did you have any troubles with VERO. Are we allowed to sell Red Cross publications?
Answer
Doesn't ebay have a list of vero persons?
Can you contact them and ask?
Answer
I sell these all the time
I didn't even know red cross was a vero member
I hate the vero program, I wish they would dump that
can someone explain why we need it now?
Answer
Thanks to both of you!
I thought about asking their VERO rep, but I figure if I do, I'll be "red flagged" (pun intended).
So, I'll just go ahead and list it.
Gabs, don't even get me started (Shabby Chic comes to mind...) on the VERO program. *shudder*
