Question
Interesting little auction add on. Helpful ot irritating?
Answer
Irritating.
Answer
I encountered that pop-up in another auction some days ago. ANNOYING and DISTRACTING. I click on an auction to see if I am interested in bidding - not to watch cartoons. If I wanted to watch cartoons, I turn on my TV.
Answer
It was distracting enough that I can't tell you WHAT the auction was for!
It amazes me that some eBayers don't realize that "cutsie" stuff moving around on an auction page is probably the #1 way there is to get a buyer to hit the BACK button.
Answer
The first 2 seconds were interesting, but there needs to be a way of turning it off! It gets in the way of reading anything.
I kept hitting the escape button, works on turning off some music, but was a total bust on this.
Answer
If you right click on him you get a box to make him dissappear. He comes back 2 or 3 times in a row, but then hides. Guess thats in case you revote.....
don't know how long he stays gone...I just made him dissapear then left
Answer
Ah that worked! I noticed it added a little merlin cap down on your task bar in case you want him to come back
Answer
If it's the same program I played around with, they have a talking parrot too.
I had a hard time getting rid of it.
Answer
Isn't that one of the Microsoft Office Assistant characters?
Answer
I wasn't aware these kind of things are allowed on auction pages ...I think it's an ActiveX control or a script of some sort. Maybe it's just a WAY more annoying version of the mouse trails that follow your cursor on the screen?!
