Good morning! Does anyone out there recognize this guy?...and no, it's not Colonel Sanders http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif
This is an antique flint glass plate with lacy type border and he is embossed in the middle of it. My hunch is a campaign plate, perhaps Civil War guy, or Presidential? I was hoping some of you might be history buffs and would recognize him as I have been all over the net looking at old portraits and can't find one that is close.

suggestion....post a request over on the unmoderated board, ALL the politicos and history types hang out over there, and I bet they could id him.
