Anyone have experience with the "gift feature"?

Question
Is it worth it? Has it made any difference to your selling?
I'm going to ask this in the 'Community Discussions' area, too. Can I do that?
I'm just full of question marks this morning http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

Answer
boo0boo....you can ask a question any where and any time you want, we don't mind around he
no experience with it, but as a shopper it does not make me click on an item that I am aware of
sorry, I couldn't be of more help, I sell used stuff so a gift icon would be a waste o money for me.

In my experience, it is not worth it.
Have you, or anyone in this forum, ever actually used the "gift" icon as part of your search?
I don't think it is even noticed by 99% of the bidders.

Never have, the only time I used the gift icon was when they were running it for a penny, I never found it did any good either way. A total waste of $ I would say. I am surprised Ebay still has it.

Answer
I found that it neither attracted more hits nor more bids. Did nothing more than transfer more $$$ out of MY pocket and into Ebay's.
Don't bother.

Answer
The only way I think it will work is if I can click on the gift icon and have it send an email to my significant other to buy me the gift http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

Answer
That will probably be next: An eBay gift registry. It's a wonder they haven't thought of that yet.
