Question
I received my first neg. today from someone who hasn't even paid for their auction yet. Just check my feedback for the name. She seem to make this a habit. She bought something today and has already left the seller a neg. I'm about to blow a gasket !

G'day Aunt Bee,
Write to Ebay (I can't remember where, but I am sure someone will be through that knows the current link / address to use) and say that it appears that this user has been bidding just to leave negative feedbacks. There is a *chance* that they will remove all of the negs/neutrals. I did this a few years ago successfully, but that person was leaving the negs within seconds of the auctions finishing.
Good Luck, Kevin

I would contact eBay and the buyer (politely & professionally)....Take a look at the times & the comments he/she left....Looks to me like they went to leave the "outrageous shipping" negative and accidentally left "none" (is that the eBay default if you select the "negative" button but don't enter a comment?) for you and for another seller.....IF that's the case, then having the buyer on your side when requesting that eBay remove it, would be a big plus.... (it might have to go out to Square Trade tho')

Thanks guys! I did contact the seller and she says that she didn't mean to leave it for me. I asked her nicely to contact ebay and have it removed. I also contacted ebay, but haven't heard anything as of yet. Bet

Kevin, in another thread I mentioned a seller that left my wife a negative immediately after EOA. She was going to try to get it removed for the "member bid on my auction just to leave negative feedback" reason but eBay's response was "sorry it does not fit the criteria for removal".
Since this neg was left a few days after EOA, eBay will probably let it stand.
Phoenix, there isn't any default text when leaving feedback. It probably took this dimwit
you seem to sell alot on eBay
three tries to finally think of something to say.
Answer
Well, I see from your post that the bidder admits an error, that's a start. You can go through the "mutually agreed to remove feedback" process if she'll cooperate.
There is a clause in eBay's feedback removal policy that may apply:
Negative feedback intended for another member will be considered for removal only in situations where the member responsible for the mistaken posting informs eBay of the error and has already placed the same feedback for the correct member.
The only problem is the bidder has to explain it to eBay in a manner that they understand, and that may be difficult for somebody that can't grasp the feedback leaving procedure in the first place.
I have a hard time believing she left 2 accidental negatives. But that could just be me.
Good luck.

Sorry to hear about that -- I've block her off mine. Thank you for the warning. I really hope you can get Ebay to delete the neg!

In the case where I had mine removed, the bidder had hit about 15 sellers in a night. In this case they have negged 3 sellers in 6 minutes, so it is remotely possible that it/they could be removed on the same basis. Otherwise mutual agreement will probably work, but that still leaves the feedback itself in the feedback file.

Answer
Kevin,
I remember that person because I was also one of the sellers who was hit by them. You invited me to another (unnamed) discussion board where it was being discussed. My neg was also removed by eBay and I didn't even have to contact them.
I may have never thanked you for it but I am still grateful to you for bringing me into the discussion. I have learned more by participating in these boards than I ever could in the eBay "school of hard knocks." THANK YOU!
