Question
iam really not sure what else i could do , granted my email style is not too professional but i try to talk to people like there my friends , maybe thats what did it i dunno , iam debating on sending one last email but just dont know sooooooooooooooooo i figured yall could give me ideas on how to better help this buyer
humm her first email seems really up beat shes happy
Hello, Thanks for such an AWESOME OFFER!!! Could you please be really sure to put the correct mailing address....I'm not trying to be rude but my apartment complex ALWAYS messes this crap up!! :-) I'm sure you understand! Thanks - Have a good day!
i replied that i printed out her address from paypal and did not hand write it so the address would be correct , then she replies
Hello! I already purchased this cushion from you just a bit ago. I was just going to ask and make sure everything worked on it, etc...I'm sure it does, just being cautious. You totally are awesome for putting this out there at such a GREAT PRICE! Thanks for making my day!!! :-)
i reply with this
hi there all of them are in 100% working order um if you happen to get one that doesnt work right ill make sure ill fix you up ,dont worry
then i mailed it off the very next day which is thursday its heading to texas
then she email me monday this
Hello, I wrote you earlier through ebay but that never seems to work for some reason. Sorry if this is a repeated email but I was just wondering when you might have sent the Massager. I bought it last Wednesday and still haven't received it so I wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. I was also wondering if u sent it in the mail in a cardboard box or actually just in the homedics box. Thanks for all your help
i then write her
hi i mail them in the box they come in , i live in sc its pretty far from here to there ill email you the delivery confirmation number to help ease your mind
i look up her dc number and see she shoulda already recieved it so i email her again saying this
hi there your tracking number is 0304 1560 0007 3941 8692 , um you need to contact your post office it says it was delivered Your item was delivered at 8:26 am on April 16, 2005 in LUBBOCK, TX 79415. ,its in a pretty big box and most times they wont just leave it at your door step they usally keep it at the post office, email me back and lemmie know what they say
then she emails me this
Yeah sorry about that - I got it in today. The postal lady left it in her truck and forgot to leave it in my apartment complex. The mail has always seemed to qinx me. But I was just wondering if there is some sort of defect in all of the massagers you sell. Mine makes an very loud squeaky sound everytime it gets to the upper back. Something is broken or loose. I'm not sure. Please let me know cause I hate that I just spent 70 bucks on something that is broken.
so i email back saying this
hi there is it making that sound when your sitting on it and when your not?
she email me back saying this
both ...something is obviously just loose and making that horrible sound...but I guess that's what I get for buying a used item. sorry for the troubles
so i try and lighten the mood by being a little humorus and trying to ease her alittle i also wanted to try and make a suddle point without trying to escalate the problem, i mighta messed up here i dunno. i also gave her a link to here in hopes to educate her on buyers and sellers heres what i wrote word for word in reply
haa ha you crack me up ,it aint that big of a problem, um what i can do is either give you a refund or just mail ya another one, i mean heck when it comes to electronics its impossible to know what might happen ,you know stuff just happens no big deal, um if you ever buy something else off ebay that isnt working right or not what you expect first write that theres a problem and ask what can be done about it dont automatically think you been robbed by a poor seller , heck most of us are trying to make extra money to get by and arnt out to get people, give us a chance to show you that , thanks again for your business and everything will work out for ya
if you get a chance you should look at this site its a online traders message board its a great site ive been a member for 7 years now they really are helpful answering questions and you could learn alot about ebay there or just chat with other ebay buyers and sellers , if you decide to post about how wonderful and helpful i am (haaaa haaa) my user name there is george
p,s ha ha ask them if i really do have web feet and 14 toes , its a little joke in there i had posted that i can walk on mud without sinking because of this, take care george
so when i get home today i get this reply from her
I'm good with this massager. I don't want to mess with it anymore cause then I'd have to go mail it off and etc etc so I'd rather just have a loud crackling massager...etc Thanks for the lesson is E-bayism. Unfortunatley, I don't really have enough time to go to some internet groupie site about online auctions. Maybe next time though. Thanks for your help.
i never said she had to mail it back i woulda just sent another or gave a refund i dunno if i was clear on that but iam hoping i was clear , soooooooo what could i have done to keep her from being a tainted ebay buyer?? i mean heck from her feedback she seems like a nice buyer , and moments ago i got a blank postive from her , i dunno if i should just let it go wthout emailing back or what?? i dunno if i wanna refund her now or not
Answer
I'd just let it go. You offered to make good on it and she declined. She doesn't seem disgruntled to me and you didn't get bad feedback. End of story.
JMHO
Answer
I thought your meaning was clear - and I agree with Cherokee96.
I was good with both the to and fro emails until you got:
some internet groupie site about online auctions
now, that ticks ME off!
Answer
internet groupie site
buwahahahahahahahahaha
Course every time George posts his picture or makes fluttering eyelash motions at TerraFreaky it DOES turn into Georges Groupies pretty quickly!
Answer
deleted cause I made a BIG boo-boo!
Answer
Let it go. You offered to resolve the (perceived?) problem, and she declined.
Answer
you didn't add her to the pile george.....sounds more like shes the type that gravitates to the pile all by herself.
When they complain but won't do anything about it, it's often just a stab at keeping it but getting a hefty discount.
Answer
It is unfortunate when a buyer does not realize they are dealing with a great seller, and miss the humor and good vibes in the process.
Not to mention the webbed feet.

Answer
internet groupie site
Yep that's us
the question is ... are you (not you george, all the other yous out there) a george groupie, or a jim groupie, or just a groupie in general.
Oh and I think I'd just let it go.
Answer
Um, uh...
I got the impression from the last email you sent of a shady seller caught in the
act. The "ha ha ha" and the "um".."no big deal"...
Make me think of someone backpedalling quickly after their hand was caught in the cookie jar, so to speak.
The last part gave me the impression that you thought the buyer was out of line and should have handled it differently.. And needed to go to some web site to learn how to buy correctly.
george, not to be mean or anything, but there are times when proper grammar, spelling and such are really important. This was one of those times.
It might be worth your while to work out some canned responses for problems, with us doing some grammar checking and such.
Anyway, t'were it me, I would pull out another massager and check it for sounds and defects. Then I would send it to her with a note saying free of charge.
Course, I would also write it off on taxes later.
Apologies to any and all that are offended.
