Question
I haven't listed any auctions on eBay for over a month and now I remember why. It is taking forever to list. Pages take minutes to come up or I get the dreaded "page cannot be displayed" or "server not found". The aggravation just ain't worth it.
Please tell me it's not just me.
Answer
Hi Carol,
Look at the bright side ... at least you actually KNOW how to list unlike some of us newbie procrastinators.
I have read about many sites OFF of eBay that people use for listing. One in particular that is inexpensive and seems good is Spare Dollar.
Maybe something like this is the way to go? I’m sure someone more experienced will come along with some good advice.
Answer
That's why I never list through ebay and use a third party lister. The one page listing form, the time saved and better pictures are well worth the money. Other pluses are I don't have to pay a dime to eBay each time I schedule an auction and I can put as many pictures in my auctions as I want with no extra charge.
Answer
Yes, there are some good sites who help many of us with photos, templates, shorter relist process etc. I use Inkfrog.com which seems particularly well balanced in that it handles a variety of browsers and interfaces to get the photos from your computer to their servers. The templates are many and pretty simple to use.
They do charge a monthly fee, in my case I pay 13.95 for running about a hundred auctions at a time under several seller ids. But there are no extra charges or commissions at all. (Other than eBay's usual pound of flesh!) I like that I can schedule listings to launch when I want, use as many photos in a description as I want, and have a fancy layout to boot. It is all included in the basic fee. And I love their (optional) automatic feedback option. They even have a free trial period if you want to test drive their service before committing.
I am strictly a customer of theirs, so this is just my personal choice. I have used several services over the years, but I have been with them for a couple of years now without complaint.
There are many other equally excellent services out there, and since time is money to me, I think the fees are worth the increase in efficiency.

Thanks for the listing service(s) ideas. I usually only list 10 to 20 low price auctions a week and normally find listing directly on eBay very easy - so have never considered listing service fees to be worthwhile. Many items I list over and over again which is a snap to do directly on eBay (usually). I'm on Comcast and have plenty of storage space so I host my own pictures but also use eBay's one free picture as a backup.
I guess my timing was just bum. Things finally cleared up on eBay and my final few listings went right through.
