Question
As a lot of people know, I run a collectibles and what-not shop part time
I say part time, because it is a hobby, not expected to make money, just keep me intouch with people so I don't become a recluse and to flog off the stuff I don't want to tiddle with on ebay.
ok, now that you are finshed laughing....
I quite often put stuff on the shelves that would clear 9 to 15.00 us on ebay. I do not have time to put EVERYTHING on ebay that I own, it would take a six person team at least two years
I will price it at 5 or 6 bucks canadian, on purpose. ...to give the dealers a "find"
hey the fun is in the score right....
Anyway....this guy comes in and scoops up a few of these pieces every week or two....drops maybe 40 or 50 bucks a pop....cool for me. ....makes space
Well he wanders in a few minutes ago all solemn looking....
my webgirl and I are sitting there working on some kinks in the website.....so we have the computor on, papers spread all over, notes taped up, our space was pretty messy.
He says excuse me, I need to talk to you in private....ok, I said....let's go outside
so outside we wander, I am wondering, hey what's this guys problem....
we get outside, the guy looks me right in the eye and says, I have a confession to make....I sell on ebay....
I look him right back....and grin.....Yeah so???
well, I tallied up how much money I have made off your store and I want to make a deal with you.
OK, what's your offer?
He says...no joke here....I want to come in and reprice all your inventory for you, you are selling it too cheap and people like me are making way too much money off of your store.....
then he proceeds to explain that some local ebayers are talking about our store like it is a wholesale ebay warehouse etc etc....
Well, when I finished laughing, and thanking him for his honesty and concern, I told him I WAS an ebay warehouse, and I do wholesale and etc...etc...
he look so surprised that I knew what ebay was and how it worked and that I would purposely sell stuff so people could make money....he said he had a lot of respect for how I did business.....
Hey buddy, just buy more stuff so I can add more stuff to my store.....
I had to tell someone, it is so amusing that someone would be concerned about my prices....this guy was genuine, it was refreshing.

I got a story about that
My inlaws moved into this little commercial unit that had been converted to an apartment....they were on their mid seventoes at the time....right next door to a porn shop...
about a year later the guy puts I three of those 25 cent booths...right on the wall behind MIL's bedroom...
My enterprising mind as always figures an angle out real quick
