Question
Happy days are here again! Feels like the good old days on eBay all over again.
I just set up two new stores on Blujay. For some reason I feel as excited about doing this as I did when I first started using eBay. The site is very user friendly and I love my new stores. It was a pleasure listing there - quick and uncomplicated. And if stuff actually starts to sell - YeeHaw - I'll be doing the happy dance for sure.
I love having the Paypal shopping cart option built in. (Are you reading this Neil?) I have bought a few things there and find it quick and easy to use, so I'm hoping my customers will do the same.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this. It's a nice feeling to be excited about selling online again, for sure!
(I might even be tempted to post a link in my signature file. I've been reluctant to do this before as I don't like to post private info on public boards, but I've been so pleased with my new store that I'm seriously considering doing just that. Comments?)
Answer
shanne~
I too share your enthusiasm in blujays' ease of listing, the owners seem to be very quick to react to any requests (especially category adds) and new features seem to be added almost daily.
I would like to see some sort of "counter" system implemented though, just so I could get a feel for how many hits my merchandise is getting.
Google/Froogle feeds seem to be slower then others (iOffer) but overall not a bad experience at all.
I know Adam (blujay) has been hitting the auction discussion circuit hard trying to get a word of mouth campaign going. Hopefully we'll see more soon.

I share your feelings about Blujay and the excitement of listing there. It just feels good there (if that makes sense). I've made a few sales there and am working to get repeat customers from other venues to start shopping my Blujay store. If you haven't tried it already, you should try it -- it's FREE, and it's so easy!!

Question:
Let's say I list 5 items on Blujay, and a buyer purchases 1 of them through PayPal's shopping cart.
The quantity available does get deducted to 4, correct?
Just wanted to make sure.
Answer
You're talking about having five identical items listed as one listing with a quantity of 5, correct?
That feature is coming soon. Right now when you list an item you can't indicate whether you have multiples. But that question has come up and Adam says it's coming soon.
So the short answer is not yet, but stick around!
Answer
Thanks!
I just registered. Even if I have to list in single quantities, that'll work.
eBay's fees are killing me ... to the point where it's not worth it anymore.
I could move all my beads onto my website, but it would be such a pain to program the shopping cart and everything (and my website can't keep track of available quantities).

I too love Blujay and I'm not shy about linking to them in my signature.
Another excellent site is BidZig. Any of you use it? Very user friendly and top rate customer service just like Blujay. Also like Blujay, its FREE!
Click the link in my signature if you want to check out the site.
If you love Blujay, you'll love BidZig.
Answer
ok, post links to your store just in this thread.....please?
I wanna see, geez with all the excitement in here, I gotta know.
Answer
OK Gabs... try this one.
Not fully stocked yet, just testing the waters with a few items.
Answer
When I try & register, it keeps bumping me back to re-do the error.
What it is telling me is that my city does not match my zipcode.
Well, I ought to know where I live, right?
I think it's cause I am on an island; we share the zipcode with the mainland, but it's been years since a computer/data base wouldn't recognize my town as having this zipcode.
Can someone from Blujay help me out here?
