Answer
Hello marc. I'm impressed that you stated who you were and asked us to try your product. So many people come with a fake persona and rave about how good their thing is.
However, there is a board policy about company affilliations, which you can read here:
I know there's a few hoops to jump through, but I hope you find our community worth the effort.

Answer
I beleive that I have complied to the forum policy. I don't visit here that often... I was not aware
anyway, yeah I see that all the time on Yahoo goups and other boards people posing as sellers and boasting up a storm on how they are making sale at xyz site....
I'm not boasting the site in any way other than making people aware that it exists, and that it's a new network concept to help all the smaller auction sites who are competing for eBay refuges....
I am encouraging smaller auction site owners to join the network so that we can all aggregate our listings and present buyers with a large variety items that they are accustomed to shop on larger sites.
thanks
Marc

Answer
Have you emailed Jim and are waiting on him to change your profile? Where it says "Registered User" under your username, Jim should change that to reflect your company.
Also you should re-read this part of the rules:
They may promote their company only in their signature file, and not directly in posts. You may link to your website in your signature file. Believe me, those sig file links get clicked.
I should also warn you that you might get asked some very tough questions. Keep in mind that if someone asks, that means they are interested and they really want an answer.

Answer
Hey Jayne:
Yes, I did email Jim and I did change my profile...
But Now you have me wondring just what the purpose of this forum is???
I was under the impression that this forum was about the auction industry and discussions of new development of such....
I'm not spamming, I'm not promoting, I don't really care if anyone form here visits the site or not.
did you expect me to announce this development in my sig?
The fact that the site is mine does not change the fact that this is a new development in the auction industry.
I did not solicit anyone to join the site or offer any kind of incentives for anyone to visit the site. I did place a link to the site because details of the concept are on the about_us page and I just didn't care to rewrite all that info in this forum.
Could you please let it go....
thanks
marc

Answer
this guy might have something here, you go email JIm, it is a 2 minute thing, if he doesn't get back to you in a reasonable length of time, say 2 days. post here and someone will rattle his chain for you, he is really busy at this time but he can do this.
and then we will do our part after that......

Answer
well, there is a point lost, all she is askingyou to do is abide by board rules, and board rules state you have to email Jim form an email address that matches your website....it is as much for YOUR protection as it is his....it is also so no one can come on here and register with a similar alias and blow all your credibility about you and your site.....and that has been tried.

Answer
Why do I bother?

Answer
Marc, since you're the owner of the online auction site ebuyusa.com, it appears to me that you and auctionsnetworkusa have an agenda. google groups
That's fine as long as you're up front about it and follow here's Notification of Affiliation procedure. You can't miss it because it's the first thread in every forum with the title "Important »» Read this before posting: NOTICE OF AFFILIATION PROCEDURES".

Answer
Hi Blance:
Yeah, I guess I do.
I started out as just a little auction site like everyone else, but then realized that small auction sites can't compete with GreedBay, so I started the network hoping that small auctions sites will network together and actually become competition to the online bully.
So, for the time being, my focus is really on The Network. Once we get small sites to join The Network and start listing items and invite their buyers to shop The Network, I think we all stand a better chance of recruiting sellers.
So the agenda is to UNITE and create a TRUE ALTERNATIVE and show sellers & buyers that THERE IS LIFE after eBay.
And again, I did fill out the profile and I did email Jim. I don't usually read all the rule on forums as I though what I mentioned in my first post was just "new development" and nothing else.
I was definitely NOT posting here hoping to attract anyone - I'd be waiting for ever.
We are ready to starting accepting feeds and I will start soliciting site owners today from several auction site lists that I've obtained from various sources.
Advising each site of this opportunity via email I think will work much better.
Marc
