"Best Offer"....WHERE is it???

Question
Doing a couple of relists and thought I'd give the "Best Offer" option a whirl...Does anyone know WHERE IT IS?....I can't find it!!!

Answer
Not sure you can do it on relists. Last week I tried to do it on a relist and I couldn't find it either. Maybe just on original auctions??

Thanx!....Drat, drat and double drat!....I emailed eBay and am patiently waiting for a response...(a week or so should be good!..he.he.he!)...If I hear anything from them I'll let ya know...

Answer
It's in the same section where the price is entered over to the right hand side. Remember it cannot be used in an AUCTION listing only Fixed Price and Store listings. I haven't tried it yet on a relist so I'm giving the information from having done a "Revise" to a live listing. Good Luck.

Answer
Thanx LOP.....Reread the "Best Offer" eBay Help page and it makes NO reference to Fixed Price & Stores only...except down at the bottom of the page there's a link to Fixed Price FAQs and it's kinda covered in there....
Found this at the FP-FAQs tho'...
Auctions with a Buy It Now price
When you add a Buy It Now price to your auction-style listing:
Buyers will have the option to buy your item instantly or place a bid on your item.
The Buy It Now feature will only be available when there are no bids on the item or until the reserve price is met.
When you list with Buy It Now, you can also offer the Best Offer Feature.
You can only sell one item per listing.
The item will appear in regular eBay browsing and search results.
The Buy It Now fee for auction-style listings is US$0.05 in addition to all standard Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees.

Of course they do NOT have the "Best Offer" listed as an option in the Stores info (same page as the BIN), so maybe they are backwards?.....
Might go with auction starting bid, higher bin and then best offer....
Would have really liked the "Best Offer" for relists that didn't sell tho...TRIPLE DRAT!

Answer
You may choose to accept Best Offers on your Fixed Price and Store
Inventory listings. This choice is available to the you in the "Sell
Your Item" form on the "Picture and Details" page. Best Offer is not
available for Auction style listings. Unfortunately, their own help files contradict that....
Part of my response back to eBay....
FYI, the help section on "Best Offer" does NOT indicate that it's for Fixed Price and Store items only.... Best Offer Help page
In addition the "Fixed Price FAQs" indicates that "Best Offer" IS acceptable on Auctions with a BIN, Fixed price items, but yet doesn't indicate that is it in the Store Items Fixed Price FAQs

Answer
I used that, on 2 of my fixed price auctions, that I put up last week on the 1/2 price listing promotion.
Haven't had a offer yet though.
this auction
I'm hoping it's going to be a workable feature
I thought best offer, was for fixed price, and store items.
When you are actually doing the listing, it is on the page where you
put the starting bid in place.

Answer
When you list with Buy It Now, you can also offer the Best Offer Feature. Thanks, I didn't know that! It could come in handy. I had only read about it on FP and Store items so am glad that it may be possible with a BIN offering. Of course what you copied also said BIN was 5 cents and of course now it varies in price. Guess we'll just have to try it out and see what happens.

Well, I went to revise an auction with a BIN to test it out and there wasn't a block to check for "Best Offer" in it so guess we can't add it after all to an auction with a BIN. Drats.

Thanx for the info...I'm thinkin' that the eBay help files are incorrect!...Since they have Fixed price, BIN, but NOT store...Betcha they MEANT Fixed Price and Store and NOT BIN!...Sent my response to eBay, including links to incorrect info...Will see if they respond (Will post response)....
It's such a shame really...I could see use for the Best Offer on an auction relist (even using adding a BIN would be worth it)...Set a price, let the auction run..ends with no bids, relist with "best offer" and see what I can get for the item....
Can I relist and change to Fixed Price?...That could be a viable work around that would kinda produce the same result....

Yes, you could do a relist and change the format to FP, which I assume would then let you do the "Best Offer" thing. However, by changing format if it sells you wouldn't get your listing fee back. At least I don't think you do. I guess it would tell you just before you hit the submit button if it was eligible for a listing fee refund.
