Question
Any herens Ever Start an Auction Site?
Other than the coming here auctions
Answer
I was thinking about this same thing....I have wondered if some of the people here have started a site or thought about it. I don't mean this to be taken wrongly...but since many members here can see the flaws of the other sites long before I do..and I say thank ye for that...I wonder if they ever considered doing a site the right way..you know..financing, right servers and programmers, etc....A site I could "trust"...of course that being said...there seem to be so many people fighting one another on these boards I guess you would get trolls no matter which group or groups decided to start a site...so how would one who just barely follows what's going on---like me...HA....how would I know the site was a "good" one....
Answer
And once....I owned the domain auctionvalley.com...lol...I was looking at domain sites that hadn't been used and came up with that one...then I let it expired and guess what...someone snapped it right up....they had an auction site page up for awhile and now it is back up for sell I think.....
But that said....I had no intentions of ever doing an auction site...that is so far out of my league to be laughable.....
Answer

Answer
I've got one up, but not working it. I hired a guy to do all the scripting etc. and I toyed with it but never set it off to the public view. Too chicken I guess and never was quite sure of what my next step would be since I seemed to be doing most everything myself.
That's why I'm waiting on Jim to get his auction stuff up and running. I am taking the easy way out and letting someone else have the headaches instead of me.
Answer
I think about it now and again. Before I jumped in with both feet, I'd set up a niche auction site. Better to learn the pitfalls on a small scale.

I wrote an ebay import script for phpauction, but they went to a paid license version shortly after that, and I never converted it to their no license.
