Question
I looked and didn't see anything on this really in the first few pages, so I hope it's not a repeat and I just missed it. I hope I covered the bulk of the choices.
Since the fee increase is just about upon us - what are your plans regarding your store? This poll pertains to eBay Stores, but if you are closing/moving to another venue (auction site, your own website, etc) feel free to add your comments as well. LURKERS please vote too, you don't have to post "out loud" but if you're registered you can vote! (I think...)
Thanks! and much luck with whatever avenue you puruse!

*ps ~ don't type out your post, start your poll, then decide you need another "option" and hit the back button to add it, cause you'll lose yer whole post .grrronnnk.
Answer
I voted both the first and second choice. I'm closing one store at the end of February and will be closing the other store on May 1.
The May 1 close date is around the normal close date for me each year as I slow down selling for the summer. However, because of the store fee increase, I had been planning to close down early, in late March. I'm only staying open in April because of the announcement that the April subscription fee would be refunded in May.
My future plans are to re-open both stores again in a few months time, but for fewer months because of the fee increases. I can see one of the stores, for example, only being open for perhaps for two or three months each year.
Answer
I'm going to keep my store open for the time being, but I'll spend today increasing some prices and cancelling my GTC listings and relisting them for 120 days. It's my understanding that if they sell during that time, the FVFs will be charged at the old rates - I hope that's true!
Answer
HTF do you vote??
Answer
Not going to close my store, I am contemplating increasing my prices though to cover the extra fees. I am going to wait til I hear what the next round of postal prices are going to be, which should happen in the coming weeks for 2006. My current business model definitely depends on the what the postage fees will be, so I want to wait and see what happens there before I react.
Answer
I've already started to increase prices both for shipping/handling and item prices. I'm keeping the store. That's life today anyways. The auctions are cumbersome.
Answer
I’ll be keeping y store and using fewer auctions to about 1/3 to ¼ instead of ½ .
I’m also revamping my website and will be able to shop there as well. I think I’m losing a lot of potential customers who like our products but get to our website and decide it looks crappy and don’t want to use eBay on top of that. I’m also using other auction sites and classifieds.
Answer
opened 2nd store January 1st and am keeping that as well.
