Question
This free site comes in handy if you want to sell records on eBay.
http://www.popsike.com/
"We are providing an archive of past auctions. Most of the records have been auctioned at eBay, certainly the largest auction house for rare vinyl records.
At popsike.com, you can check the final auction price that a certain record has brought. Although this might not be a true indication of the record's real value, it does show what collectors are paying for rare items.
Prices of rare original records from the 60ies and 70ies have risen dramatically in the last years.
There is no fixed price for a second-hand record, no matter how rare it is. The price of a rare record is purely determined by what people are prepared to pay for it."
Answer
Well it must only show rare records as out of the 6 I punched in only one showed up which was Harold Burrage soul 45 on m-pac..looks like it brought over $200.00 ..guess i'll have to list it someday..lol.
Hollis Floyd on the Jell label,Detroit junior on the Foxy label,Donoman on the thunderbird label,Jessie Fortune on the USA label never showed up and I wouldn't consider those too common.
Answer

I agree LP's are up this year, we have sold some on ebay for some decent money lately.
Answer
The site is very new. I have no idea if it will always remain free.
You could ask Philipp Wegmueller who owns and runs the site.
I've easily sold 10,000+ LPs on eBay since 1999 and only wish
this site came along years ago. I'd happily pay a nominal fee
to keep it going, whether I sell vinyl down the road or not.
Answer
Oh its not your, sorry, I ASSumed it was
thanx for sharing
are you still selling lps on ebay or did you give it up when the went to IS.
Answer
No, I'm not currently selling any LPs right now.
There's still money to be made selling vintage records as long as they
are original first pressings in mint or near mint condition, preferably
on collectible jazz labels such as Blue Note.
Find yourself a mint, original copy of Tina Brooks "True Blue" on Blue
Note and suddenly you are $2,000 richer. Easier said than done.
Answer
how the heck do you mail them? do they still make special mailers for LP's?
I have alot of LP's from the 30's-50's, but I figured they'd be a hassle to mail.
Answer
Brasspack on Ebay sells lp mailers if you want to buy some..Myself, I make my own boxes out of cardboard..I put a piece of bubblewrap on each side of the lp.
Answer
To mail I use 14 inch pizza boxes. Ordered them off the web. Plain white on the outside. Kind of flimsy, until you get the box put together, packed and taped up, then they are fine. I use tissue paper for cushioning. They seem to be perfect for mailing one to three lps.
I've just about given up on selling records online unless I happen to run across an unusual one. Wish I had a few of those on that site. The most I've ever got for any record was $154.00. A long way from thousands. LOL
