Ebay was pretty smart yesterday

Question
Ebay showed signs of good thinking yesterday, by having nickle day when they did.
Why you ask...
because we listed everything out of our stores into auciton, just to see if we could do it
we had a record year for FLD
we did just over 2300 listings
more than double what we usually do
we did 400 fresh listings and flipped everything else
This reminds us why we keep our stores
so we can take full advantage of FLD....which is now nickle/dime day
it also made some people close their stores a few days early, so there won't be as big a drop in numbers at the end of the week for the media to throw in their face
some may figure out what they make extra on NLD (nickle listing Day) and average it over the year to justify keeping the stores
They held it on Valentines day to keep the evening from getting like a mad house....which I think was just coincidence but it worked.
Anyone have then swell in numbers for yesterday.?

Answer
I managed to get 5 relists & 8 new bead auctions up, so I wasn't a big help, numbers wise.
(have already sold 1 of the new bead auctions!)

I was talking to someone on here (she can fess up who she is if she wants to lol) and she mentioned that if folks list for more than 3 days they will run over into the "boycott" days.
I thought that it was pretty interesting and it makes you realize that eBay is looking at all four corners of the box.

I thought that it was pretty interesting and it makes you realize that eBay is looking at all four corners of the box. LOL! I realized that last night when I went to confirm that my auctions had launched.
Went back and revised all 50-ish of them (well except for one that had a bid) to 3 days. They'll end the 17th.
Thank goodness for easy revisions via my auction manager!

Whopping 76 new auctions (fresh and relists combined) here.
While it's not the staggering number that Gabs has (I'm tired just thinking about all those listings), it put me over the "100 listings" mark and I don't do that very often.
Surprisingly enough, I've been selling some that I wasn't completely sure would sell. I like those kinds of surprises!

eBay is also launching a "contest" to make sure folks bid or list during the "boycott" time frame.
They know how to work the people.

Answer
on my 2nd ID - pretty much one of everything that's in the store. Turbo Lister made it really easy to do.
I did maybe 3 relists on my main ID and hubby listed one thing. He just listed 26 on Saturday (just our luck)...
