Selling books on auction site........

Question
I have some old books that I would like to sell and don't think eBay is the way to go. I was thinking about Amazon. These books are more of western history.
They are not stories but more of history like..............Johnson County War in Wyoming, Tom Horn, Wild Bill Hickock, Stampede to the Timberline etc.
I clicked on amazon.com but I don't know see where to go from there. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Answer
Here you go
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/su...822136-2180624
Or if you want to go with the auctions:
http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/sub...822136-2180624
You may have to register an account with them if you have not already.
Good luck!

Answer
ddhafe...don't dismiss ebay that quickly for books of this genre. History books, especially western history and americana that have a narrow subject matter, do quite nicely on ebay.
If the books have an ISBN number, check out Amazon marketplace to see how much other sellers are listing the book for. If the price is good, it would be worth it to list it on Amazon. If it doesn't have an ISBN number then you would have to use the z-shps or the auctions at Amazon...I'm not sure what the sell through is with those two methods but nothing I have heard is encouraging. The marketplace is good for desireable books because the used books show up whenever someone does a search for the new book.
You can also check out bookfinder.com or addall.com to find prices for your books. Both these sites search the internet for books offered for sale and show you what other sellers are asking for the book. Make sure your book matches for title/author/publisher/edition/condition and you can get an idea of asking prices for the books.

Sharon, thanks for bookfinder.com. I needed this same information and didn't know where to go to get it.
