Question
Has anyone noticed a VeRO BUTTON in any of the listings? Some people have reported seeing a VeRO button below the description and above the shipping/payment details. Apparently everyone can't see it and it comes and goes. I haven't seen it yet. This is what the button supposedly says:
VeRO item reporting system
(Report Listing Button)
Click to report this item to eBay
This is all we need...making it easier for VeRO members to report auctions.
Here's a thread about it on the eBay Listing Board:

I'm going to try signing in with a zero feedback ID to see if the VeRO button appears.

Answer
I don't see it in any of my auctions.
Oops, I guess the confused smiley is gone.
Answer
Nope, I still don't see the button.

Yes, I got one in one of my auctions. It was there an hour ago, but now it is gone. ??? The item was celebrity memorabilia.
I clicked on the button and got a page saying I'm not authorized to use that feature. My guess would be that it is keyword-triggered, and only certain pre-approved VeRO members are allowed to use it. IOW, the music/film industry may be trying to crack down on our auctions.
Answer
I wonder if it will be used for only Vero members. I saw it yesterday but haven't looked today. I thought the only one that could make a complaint is the Vero holder.
Answer
I'm betting that it won't last because Ebay will have to hire tons of help to keep up with all of the people who love to push buttons. I can also see Ebay putting a restriction on zero feedback users, they will have to have 10 feedbacks before they can push the button more than 10 times in one day! The button pushers will be in heaven!
Answer
I would assume it would only be usuable by VERO members, and could pop up on auctions that have a keyword that is in a database for VERO items.

I am not a Vero member and I saw it on one auction. Does not show up in others. I think it must be related to keywords.

A poster on the eBay Bidding Board has a screenshot of the VeRO "Report Listing" button:

This is the auction shown in the screenshot but I still don't see the button:

Many people have seen this "Report" button on EVERY listing they viewed so it isn't something found just on listings for certain brand names. It appears that one needs to be on an approved list in order to use the button - probably a VeRO member. So far, everyone who has tried pushing the button either received the following message: " NOT authorized to use this page" or were taken to the sign-in page where nothing further happened.
No one knows why some can see it and some can't - those who have reported seeing the button are not VeRO members.
Either this is something new that eBay is in the process of implementing or it's something that has been there all along but only visible to VeRO members until now (maybe a glitch?). Either way, I don't much like the fact that eBay is either planning on or has already placed a VeRO report button on every seller's listing page. Does that bother anyone else?
BTW, leave it to eBay to use a stupid cutesy abbreviation which makes an easier to type set of capital letters like VERO become VeRO with a small "e".
