Best "advertising" for auction... featured? Bold?

Question
So when you run across an item that might be worthy of a little extra
promotion on eBay, what features, if any, do you use?
I tried Featured once on an item and got a ton of hits but not a lot more in
bids. A slighty less nice version of the item had sold for me in the $300 range; the Featured one brought just over $100.
I was not impressed.
Now I have another item that I think could do well, and might be worthy of
some extra effort, and would appreciate some input on how you might market it.
Have you found any combination of eBay features, or other methods, that have worked for you?
TIA!

Answer
Hey Larruone!
I have done bold before(not many) and I dont think it made much different...I dont want to give eBay anymore of my money and besides,if its something that good...people will find it....JMO.

Answer
gallery is the only perk, I might pay for ten days but that will totally cease when the price goes up....
I tried all the rest on good stuff and I don't feel it made any difference, or as you pointed out, might have even hindered it.
What "triple1" said up there

Answer
The only enhanced feature I felt was any use as far as making my item stand out (besides gallery) was the subtitle.
If I have something that I think is worthy and I can't give a consise description in the title I may add a subtitle and if I do I will use ALL CAPS in the subtitle.
When I say "can't give a consise description" I mean that I may be able to use all the keywords to come up in search but the title may not make much sense if you just read it. I use the title to return the search and then the subtitle to expand.
