owners of ebay stock OR off their Rocker??

Question
there are people that say not to list and grow other sites that it does not help.... wow.. must be either off their rocker OR own ebay stock!!
yes.. sellers should build their website AND do the following!!!
yes.... its stupid to not list on some of these other sites other than ebay.....
example... bidville........different places has their sell-thru from half of 1% to 3 %........with it being where one can list and forget with no time involved..... listing say 200 items about 5 times each .... making sure each has all the possible keywords and putting in different categories.....this makes 1000 listings per week...... selling between 5 and 30 times per week..... and since no time involved.. 52 weeks means one has sold 260 -1560 items a yr with no listing fees and less fvf fees... so its plain stupid not to list on bidville and at the same time help grow even more competition and if bill gates comes into bidville then watch out!! big competition for ebay then...
so its plain STUPID to not list on bidville!!!
overstock....... if they make it easy like bidville... their sell-thru rate on free list days is 1.5% -3%...... they may have 1 week per month as free listing.... put a 1000 listings there like bidville.... and that is 15 to 30 items per month sales.. or 180 to 360 items per year sold with no listing fees
ioffer don't know the sell_thru rate but its free to list and easy and they have something different ... make it very easy for buyers to make a different offer so sellers should use this site also
so its easy to see how its just plain STUPID not to list on other sites than ebay..... this helps in MANY ways...... first real present profits... and helps ebay keep from raising fees so high which gives selling at ebay more profit for sellers.. and also this shows to ebay how they can have REAL competition if big money comes into one of these sites and this limits ebay from totally gouging sellers in present time......
so sellers be wise.. don't listen to people who are either off their rocker or who own ebay stock.... list and grow other sites and this gives us all sellers more profit!!!!!!!!!

other sites DO have an affect on ebays decisions and pricing NO QUESTION ABOUT IT..... ebay already copied ioffers make an offer!!!!!

Answer
I don't know about anyone else, but the problem for me is that it takes too much time to list on multiple sites. Everyone has different formats, different learning curves, different templates. It generally takes twice as long to list at another site as ebay, just because I have ebay down to a science. And if I'm spending time listing elsewhere, I'm not listing where my cash flow is most likely.
If I could magically snap my fingers and have every ebay auction turn into the proper format and wording for any other site, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
And I'm definitely NOT a stockholder.

Answer
You really need to go see about some medication for that cut and paste problem you have.

Answer
yes that is why i say list only on the easy ones where once up you can forget about it.......once the new ones shows things are automatic then list with them too... automatic means automatic......getting 260 to 1500 sales a yr on no time spending site is very valuable especially with no fees....
wagglepop and overstock i would wait until theirs become easy.. then list there when it does..... bidville and ioffer looks like the easy ones now...

deepriverman, I think you're a TROLL. You have nothing useful to contribute to any of the here discussions and it's become apparent to me that your sole purpose here is to disrupt our board. I am going to ignore your posts from here on out.
Ioffer has affected eBay!!!!
ebay now has copied ioffer's concept.........proof of how other sites do indeed affect eBay........
now what eBay is concerned with and which HELPS eBay to keep fees down on sellers is seeing all this energy for wagglepop... wagglepop may not work.... BUT this energy is what will worry eBay and affect their gouging the sellers even further.... people who say this has ZERO affect must own eBay stock.... no other way to rationalize saying ZERO affect!!! yes.... its stupid to not list on some of these other sites other than eBay.....
example... bidville........different places has their sell-thru from half of 1% to 3 %........with it being where one can list and forget with no time involved..... listing say 200 items about 5 times each .... making sure each has all the possible keywords and putting in different categories.....this makes 1000 listings per week...... selling between 5 and 30 times per week..... and since no time involved.. 52 weeks means one has sold 260 -1560 items a yr with no listing fees and less fvf fees... so its plain stupid not to list on bidville and at the same time help grow even more competition and if bill gates comes into bidville then watch out!! big competition for eBay then...

some say that it is a waste of time to list on any other site than eBay.....what would happen if there wasn't any other sites???? eBay then would raise sellers fees even more......so to help our profits at eBay its a must to keep 3 or 4 other sites going ...!!!!
other sites do have an affect on eBay and their plans...... and pricing.... !!!

ok .. after all these days of mumbo jumbo... we can now simplify..
sellers helping build other sites..... helps their future profits and even helps their present profits with eBay......
if overstock had an easy site like ioffer and bidville with their advertising and trying hard.. they could make a run for the roses..... they have made giant mistakes.. BUT they seem to want to change fast and correct.....
after a good functioning site gets built someone with big bucks may come and then presto eBay has competition even more....
walmart has the dolar stores as competition.. even tho both may be in the same town.. people will shop at both.. not just one.... with online venues eBay the big one but others will shop at other venues for many different reasons.....one reason like with i offer.... people who want to haggle will go there instead of eBay... now eBay has put in a button for that too.... BUT its easier to go to the haggling at ioffer and bargain and haggle .. why cause less buttons to push and wade thu...
people have reasons to go to dollar general over walmart... one is less hassle
so these people who say that there is zero affect with new sites and building sites are off their rocker or an eBay stockholder
will some big money see all this energy and step in and get a site really going???.... eBay knows this..... and eBay watches this energy and trys to stop it.... and this does influence their price increases.... the more that eBay squeezes the sellers the stronger this energy is to get a way from eBay...
and competition is small now but real competition WILL come.... no question about this... history proves this...
sellers that helps build a good stable site .. then big money sees this energy and then bankrolls the adverstising... then pays people to start getting use to the new site.. this will happen......
will wagglepop get a good site built and google come in with it?? or will bidville get a good site and google come in with them?? these building sites gives small competition now for eBay.. but having these built then gives eBay big potential for big competition and this affects eBays present pricing in order to limit this energy... so folks go build other sites.. that does indeed help your present profits on eBay!!!
yes some people gets going so strong that they loose it!!!....
what i saw in the guys comments were saying other sites have zero affect on eBay and how they do their pricing to sellers zero means zero.....
ioffer has already affected eBay... now eBay has copied their concept
even the energy that waglepop has from eBay sellers has some affect on eBay.....this tells eBay sellers will move fast.. and this then limits eBays gouging sellers completely to death..
and some site WILL in time be more than alittle competition to eBay... so not trying to build other sites harms sellers profits with eBay...
some people know nothing of history or economics 101...... sears... was once the biggie.... no more......
ebay now has copied ioffer's concept.........proof of how other sites do indeed affect eBay........
now what eBay is concerned with and which HELPS eBay to keep fees down on sellers is seeing all this energy for wagglepop... wagglepop may not work.... BUT this energy is what will worry eBay and affect their gouging the sellers even further.... people who say this has ZERO affect must own eBay stock.... no other way to rationalize saying ZERO affect!!!
Again... saying that other sites have NO affect on eBay policy is dead wrong... saying they have a tad affect would be reasonable.... for example.. ioffer started a good concept that was different..... what did eBay just now do??? they copied it..... so saying other sites have zero affect is dead wrong and unbleivable thinking.....
and this waggelpop energy is also affecting eBay.... this is showing that sellers will go fast to another site... this helps eBay to keep fees lower....
so these other sites and the potential of being built does without question have an affect on eBay..... people who make these blatantly false statements must own eBay stock OR?????
some say that it is a waste of time to list on any other site than eBay.....what would happen if there wasn't any other sites???? eBay then would raise sellers fees even more......so to help our profits at eBay its a must to keep 3 or 4 other sites going ...!!!!
so listing on other sites.. DEFINITLY helps eBay sellers....!!!!... if eBay had no other sites at all..... then we would be having 50 and 60 cent listing fees.........yes keep 3 or 4 as strong as possilbe... that is what the wise will do.....
we have already sites out there that are helping keep eBays listing fees down and that in itself helps eBay sellers profts on eBay.... and then there is this energy to do alot more.. this additional potential competition...... this also keeps eBay from raising fees so much...
there is one person going around saying other sites has zero affect on eBay rasing fees... he is totally dilusional OR is an eBay stockholder... !!!

yes.... you may beleive that... but you are mistaken and wrong....
one cannot be correct and say... other sites has no effect on eBay.... no effect on eBay's fees..... saying no competition is wrong... saying little competition is more accurate... but saying no compettion is incorrect.... and then there is the potential competition by sellers working with other sites... this potential competition ALSO holds down rate increases.... i just wish people would try to think when posting....
yes... this statement shows the thinking flaw....
Since people do not actually SELL things in significant quantity at other auction sites, they provide no competition
the correct way is to say people do not sell in significant quanity at other auction sites.. and this then does not affect eBay significantly......
and th correct term is they provide little competition.. saying NO competition .. what logically would follow the statement of saying they do not sell in significant quantity.... what follows this is saying this not significantly affect eBay..... this shows faulty thinking..... that is with sites out there... now with people trying to get sites out there working this is the potential that has to worry eBay and keep down thir fees that way..... so having other sites out there and then trying to build does INDEED help sellers profits by keeping eBay from raising fees so much!!!
with sites out there..... they represent a potential competitor IF eBay raised fees too much.. so this does indeed affect eBays fee structure... with sites already set up... eBay knows if they raise fees too much sellers could go quickly...... without any sites ... then eBay would know sellers would have a harder time leaving eBay......... its easy to see that the sites does affect eBay and sellers profits on eBay..... amazing at the logic!!!... so its not a waste of time to try to build other sites...... eBay just KNOWING this helps limit their fee increases..... it don't take a rocket scientist to understand this!!! yes... this statement shows the thinking flaw....

i see a problem with toy ranch's thinking.... he says that eBays raising fees has nothing to do whatsover with other sites........lol .. man o man....
the reason they can raise fees is cause of no good sites.....toy ranch is basicly saying that competition has nothing do do with eBays fees... wow.... i'll stick with a few others oppinions to read......
again i will say which toy ranch totally disagrees with.... is if there is no other sites what would happen... eBay would raise fees even higher.. and BECAUSE we at least have some sites out there... us listing there does indeed boost our eBay profits cause eBay could be charging 50 and 60 cents to list..... and if some of these do catch on.. then bigger profits even more for sellers..... so this is the best way.... letting eBay have total monopoly is the stupidiest thing from the sellers end and great for stock holders..........
other sites don't have anything to do with eBays fee structure..... someone said this... unbeleivable!!!...... even if another site has potential without any proven success.... that in itself will limit eBay a tad from raising fees.....the more sites out there and the more potential good sites.. the less eBay will raise rates...
ebays rates are ALL about profit for them.... and the less competition the more eBay will raise rates to take more of the sellers profit.....
basicly what toy ranch is saying is competition has NOTHING to do with eBays rates .... wow!!!!! unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DRM....name calling is not acceptable, nor is derogatory posts......
the title of this thread is not very nice, but on the flip side, who cares if they are an eBay stock holder or off their rocker, they still have a right to their opinion...and to post it, just as you have been given the right to post against them, over and over and over and over and over.......
for future reference, this is the eBay forum, the WP threads have been tolerated here but should be in the Auction TALK forum which is for any other auction site discussion........
here is a link
deepriverman please use that forum, it is more appropriate.
I am sure it would be appreciated by a lot of posters and the owner of this site, if waggleplop was discussed in the forum that was designed for this sort of discussion.
One or two threads are fine, but now it is starting to take over.
thanx
