What is your relationship to Online Auctions?

Question
Whilst Irene has the poll for selling on eBay going, it is probably also a good time to get a feel for how users now use eBay or any of the other online auction sites that they use.
Which of these options is closest to representing your current use of online auction sites?
Kevin
EDIT: I ran out of room, so I hope the poll question makes sufficient sense.

Answer
Kevin, I think it would be helpful to define a period of time. You say "currently" but does that mean this week, this month or the past year? I do realize that these polls can't include all possibilities, but find this one particularly difficult to answer.

Answer
G'day Maison Rustique,
I was trying to keep it fairly general with currently, but basically your (the generic your) overall recent trend (and yes "recent" is just as vague), or current intentions.
If a person bought a lot 6 years ago but doesn't buy anymore, the buying is not current. If you usually buy a lot, but post Christmas you are out of money, but you do intend to continue buying, then buying is still your current trend. If last week, though, you got burned and have decided that you will never buy or sell again, then that decision is current.
I am looking for the overall pattern, so I guess each individuals definition of current does suffice in this case. I have no listings on right now because of other commitments, but I have voted "predominately selling" because I buy a little but mostly sell, and will continue to as soon as the outside commitment is finished.
I hope this doesn't make this even muddier.
Cheers, Kevin

Answer
I only buy at on-line auction sites was my vote.
I no longer attempt sell at auction.
Too much hassle, too many 'fees', to many 'rules'.
I make 10X+ better ROI on website sales than I could EVER at auction.
Besides, my time and skill are valuable - not something to be 'wholesaled' out.
YMMV.

YMMV. An excellent perspective.

I've suspended online buying & selling for the time being (also sleep, lunch, folding laundry, reading, and a bunch of other non-essential stuff), but do plan to resume in the future.

Answer
Sell online, auctions only. Also B&M's...

Answer
Buy and sell, both on and off.
Right now I'm doing lots of both.

We (Cat Rescue of Maryland) sell on ebay but we also sell at a couple flea markets a year, two huge pet expos and about 10 cat shows a year. In addition, we do driveway sales at a volunteer's house that are very successful.
I buy almost everything but groceries on line but very little on ebay any more.
I always try to start my internet shopping at www.igive.com. Cat food and litter from petfooddirect.com, clothes from landsend, llbean and qvc, small electronic stuff from qvc, etc.

Here lately I have been doing considerably better with a once a week "Side of theRoad sale" with home made paste board signs. Absolutely amazing at how many people stop and look at these places in this area. And NO FEES, no hassles, and best of all , CASH!
