what does ebay think of its sellers?

Question
Is there somewhere where ebay reports stats on who their sellers are, a demogrpahic report, age, average income, education, etc....or
do they think we are all charities and get all this stuff given to us at our doorsteps......
how does ebay expect us to keep lowering our prices and they keep jacking the expenses....this new "make an offer" perk has me pizzed....and that is NOT a good thing

Answer
IMHO they think we're a necessary nuisance. They wish they could figure out a way to increase their share prices every quarter but phase us out. Maryanne

Answer
that is an interesting scenario, I wonder if Meg has any ideas?

Answer
I think Meg's fantasies are probably filled with scenarios where her mega income continues without pesky sellers constantly bugging her and saying mean things about her to the media. Maryanne

Answer
Gabs - I don't recall giving that level of demographic info to eBay - so I don't know what on basis they'd have such a report...
I think eBay pictures sellers as modular, easily replaceable, one is as good as another, etc.
Those of us with a clue recognize that losing a $100,000 a year power seller and replacing him/her with 1, 10, 100 newbies sellers is unlikely to be a true replacement, ya know?
*sigh*
