Anyone hear of verifiedmailer.com? Answered bidders ? & re'vd reply telling me to verify myself first!

Question
I just received this after answering a bidders question which only asked for more information on the item. There was plenty of info Ã*n the auction and they were not specific about what they need more info about. I replied with a link to a page that had reviews of the product since there is no more info to give that is not in the auction.

Would you verify yourself? Do you know anything about this? With all the scams out there I am hesitant to give out any information and the email question was so obscure.

Answer
I had one of those a couple of weeks ago. Really pi$$ed me off. Figured I had to answer it - it was the only way I could make contact with my buyer. Sheesh, I hate spam too, but that is ridiculous!

I recently got caught up in the Earthlink spam blocker. I couldn't contact my winning bidder until I'd "verified" myself.

I've gotten a few of those. So far it hasn't been important enough to verify myself. I think its stupid, when a bit of common sense usage will keep spams down to non-existent.
I figure if the time ever comes when it is important enough to do so, I will verify myself. But I will not be happy.......

When you do verify yourself to them what information do they ask for?

Answer
I think some of those verification emails are legit, but it worries me that this person didn't seem to have a real question for the seller.
Wasn't there some sort of email harvesting going on at ebay a few months ago using a variation of this?
