That would be a pretty innocuous new fee to me, since it's not worth a dern, I don't use it so for once that fee wouldn't hit me.
Answer
Like the weather you can be certain there will be more but when, what and where is uncertain.

Another seller in another forum spotted this and showed the screen capture of it. The eBay sell your item screen showed a new line "7 day Auction: Free" on it. The comment then was that we should soon expect not only the new fee hike for 10 day auctions but a new unannounced fee for 7 day auctions. Why else would they redesign the 3-5-7 layout to separate 7 day if they weren't planning a fee change for it?
Answer
it's had a line in the account status from day one - I'm just waiting for them to put a fee on that.

Ditto on the GTC surcharge...although, I'm hoping the stores took such a huge hit that they might let that slide another year.
I've been thinking they might impose a "size" of listing charge--you're allowed so many characters per listing, and if you go over you have to pay extra, to discourage use of personal templates and numerous third-party-hosted pictures.
If the gallery fee causes a reduction in gallery usage, I can see them raising the basic listing fees substantially and giving every listing a gallery picture.
I can see them ending all direct communication between buyers and sellers and adding a "service charge" for end-of-auction communications.
I'm depressing myself. There's no end to the fees they can impose. Time for me to stop!

Watch for this announcement about March:
Due to the increasing number of Bogus Petitions being submitted in order to undermine the solid community values of Ebay, we require that all petitions should include the current user ID of all signees, so that it can be confirmed that the petition is indeed valid, and the will of members of our fine community.
This will be followed at about the time of the next fee hike with this:
Due to the resources being consumed by Ebay staff needing to verify the validity of an increasing number of petitions received by Ebay, we are introducing today the Petition Verification Fee of $2.00. This will be billed to all user ID's as any petition is processed, and will aid in confirming that the petition represents members of the Ebay community. This fee can be refuted, and credit will be given, but the petition results will be discarded as bogus as false information has been supplied.

I could come up with something equally ludicrous relating to "Customer Service - but that has already been suggested by Ebay.
