Anyone having trouble using Paypal today?

Question
I have been trying to pay for an auction that I purchased and have been trying to print shipping from paypal all day. Anyone else having trouble or is it just me?

Answer
We are aware that members may continue to experience intermittent errors while logging in to the PayPal site or when attempting to pay with PayPal. We are aware of the problem and are currently working on a solution.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your continued patience.
I'm just curious: For those of you who have online banking, do you ever get a message like this?
Or if you've gone to your bank's branch to withdraw some money, has there ever been a sign posted on the door that says "We can't figure out how to be in business today so we've closed our doors. Not sure when we'll be open again."?
I actually have. I had an account with ING Direct, the online-only bank, and yes, it really is a bank, unlike PayPal. I was trying to make a transfer to my b&m bank account on some minor mid-week holiday...I don't remember what it was...and kept getting errors from the web page. So I called their 800 number. "Our offices are closed today for the Feast of St. Stephen (or whatever). If you have an emergency, please call our Customer Care Center at 1-800-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH." Called that number; it was out of order.
Let's review: They take one day off and the web site's down. The office is closed. The emergency number doesn't work.
Man, that REALLLLY inspires confidence that my money is safe. I wrote them a scathing letter educating them on what 24/7 means. Never got a response. No email, no phone call.
I guess it's easier to spit in your customer's eye when they can't see you.
I don't have an account with ING Direct any more.

I think PayPal is having DNS problems today...
WWW FAIL WWW Category ERROR: Timeout. I could not reach any of the nameservers to get a list of the WWW A records! They are likely down or unreachable.

Answer
Hi Jim,
I might believe that except that the error page I got had this URL:
https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-done&login_access=(number omitted)
So it seems that in that instance it resolved the hostname OK.
I got in fine just a few minutes ago. Sure wish I could ditch PayPal for good.
