Ebay is tinkering again

Question
I noticed a couple of days ago that there were some weird zip codes sitting in the postage calculator-zips I've never seen and certainly never typed into my computer
Tonight I go to relist something and I get this Your item location has been updated to In front of the computer in Benton, LA 76454. This ZIP code will be used when buyers search by distance. If this information is incorrect please edit your location.
Now I've never heard of Gorman, TX and certainly never typed that zip code, town, etc. anywhere in any form in any part of ebay.
So you might want to check this stuff when you relist or list-they've rearranged geography in the US and possibly abroad So you might be on the West Coast today and sitting in the middle of The Gulf of Mexico tomorrow

Answer
Yes, I've had that problem too. The last couple of days I've done several relist and about 75% of those had the Gorman, TX zipcode in there that would be used for the eBay distance search. What a pain! They did at least have my location of Fort Worth, TX correct just the zipcode wrong. I get soooo tired of making constant changes instead of working on new listings

I bid on a puzzle. About 15 other puzzles were listed after that. Now that puzzle shows as number two in the search list. Where'd all those others go?

Answer
I just did searches on the Australian site using "quotation marks" - all results (or actually non-results) would only come up as being within 200 km. Because I had no actual results, I could not actually change the search field, and going to the previous page would not change the search field. I do not know whether this is happening on the US site to people with US Zip Codes, but it is worth noting this glitch here.
What is not known is how many searches are being "lost" by people either unable to complete their searches or not realising that their searches are not complete. I was able to complete what I was doing by using the country specific search on the US/Home site - but I suspect that not many users would know that they could do this.

Answer
I noticed the two I listed on the UK promo day aren't showing up in search either. Glad I didn't do a lot of them.

Answer
I've somehow moved to West Virginia -NOT!

I have noticed that it seems to only be affecting listings that I've done through SpareDollar, not through ChannelAdvisor and not through eBay itself.

I mentioned this on the SpareDollar boards and no one responded.

Answer
You might want to check this thread out from the ebay store boards regarding zipcode switching.
